We contracted with GRN to have them design and install a new inground cement plaster pool, including deck tiles, landscaping and a new putting/chipping green. We were very pleased with the result. Chris and Andy were both very professional, knowledgeable and supportive through the whole project. Their years of experience and 3D Design capabilities helped us plan, visualize and decide on a final layout prior to construction. They kept a close eye on the construction process, allowed us to monitor the progress on line and were available if we had any questions. They had capable foremen leading the project and we collaboratively worked through any challenges. They backed up their commitment to customer satisfaction by ensuring any final flaws or concerns were taken care of. Although construction on the pool was completed in the Spring of 2022, they continue to check in with us on a regular basis. We would highly recommend GRN Pool and Landscape.

I just wanted to thank Andy and Chris on the completion of my pool and landscaping this year. I originally wanted to get it done in 2020, except covid and all of the shipping delays etc. Was going to make that nearly impossible. My wife and I ended up hiring them last year so I could enjoy my pool this summer, which I did very much! The office was always there to answer my calls and keep me updated with the progress and time frame if anything changed due to weather or delivery delays. All of the staff that came onto the site were very polite, professional and hard working. I especially liked how everything was done in house and nothing was subbed out like most of the companies in the lower mainlandVery happy with all of the work that was done. My property looks amazing and I have lost some weight this summer with all of the laps I have been swimming. HahaThanks again to the whole GRN team!

Do not hire this company under any circumstances. Run in the other direction as fast as possible. They do not know how to build and properly install a pool. I deeply regret ever hiring them. After spending a small fortune, our pool is leaking, water level is dropping rapidly, there were inadequate materials used throughout, the list of deficiencies is too lengthy to list here. The process of dealing with them throughout the project was exhausting. We had no project manager. Crews would not show up for days on end. Inspections would fail. People were leaving the company every other week. They would ignore our calls and emails. It was a total nightmare and now, we have to hire third party professionals to fix all of the many things that were done incorrectly. We had the owner of another pool contractor inspect the pool and he was speechless and stunned at what he saw. One of the biggest regrets of my life.

Stay away from this company. Don’t waste your time and money with them, like we did. $300K spent and 1.5 years later, the project is still unfinished and with no idea when they will even come and show their faces. They will ghost your calls and emails, like never seen. They are literally the most unprofessional contractors I have ever had to deal with!I’m giving them 2 stars only because the pool doesn’t look bad and still works.

MUST READ THIS FIRST!!! Do not use this company unless you have endless patience, time and money. Do not fall for the fancy pictures or 3D design like my wife and I did, after that there is zero planning. I feel bad for those new clients who have signed a contract with them recently. Do not sign a contract as it is written. Andy and Chris said 3-4 months for a pool and spa and its now 18 months and still not finished. Supposed to be done end of summer 2021, as of today August 2022 we are still not done. The project may cost you double what they quote. Could be hundreds of thousands more. Our $14,500 landscape lighting and irrigation that were done and paid for in November of last year (2021) still do not work as of August 2022. They are still troubleshooting".Landscaping is more than other landscaping companies (I had quotes half of what they quoted). I know this because I took them off my landscaping (outdoor staircase and lawn). I hired new landscapers and masons to finish when I realized GRN's landscape crew were the same guys that worked on the pool

Can you do your work on time. Slow responsiveness, poor workmanship, way past deadline. Pool has been in progress for over a year

The absolute worst communication I have ever experienced from a company. We have had nothing but problems with our pool and landscaping and they don’t seem to care at all. The turnover in their staff is a huge issue. I was told 4 months ago that I would get a quote on replacing the liner that was installed only 2 years ago and have not heard anything back. After following up multiple times I am done with this company. We’re now using another company to finish and fix what they did wrong 2 years later.

My friend is the one who hired them and they have been horrible. 2 years for a project that should have been a couple months and they didn’t finish it. Almost never coming when they said they will with no explanation. Insanely hard to communicate with, and extremely unprofessional. One of the worst experiences with a contractor I have ever had.

We received quotes from a few different pool companies and ultimately chose to work with GRN.At first we were nervous because it took quite a long time to obtain our building permit, but our friends in our neighbourhood who are working with a different company still haven't received theirs. They signed up before us! I chalk that up to accurate and diligent work done by GRN's permit coordinator.Living through a construction project is never easy. With that said, the crews working on our project have been great. They are professional and are working very hard every time they are on site. The office staff has been warm and easy to communicate with. They helped us set realistic expectations on the timeline of our project. There have been a few hiccups along the way, but material shortages and staffing issues are plaguing all industries these days. We have seen GRN work hard to rectify issues and find solutions quickly, keeping our project moving along.Overall we recommend GRN 100%. It has been a great experience!

We hired this company in September of 2020 to build us a simple rectangular pool and some tile around our yard. From the start we have had nothing but issues, horrendous workmanship, ZERO attention to detail, unresponsiveness to emails, phone calls etc...The turnover rate for the staff is incredible. We have had 4 project managers on this project. Our project sat for months on end with no attention despite repeated attempts to contact them.We were overcharged excavation by 70% and our gas and electrical allowance was exceeded by over 100%. We were given no explanation and were flat out lied to by the owner that 'we never know what's in the soil until we dig' turns out it was just horrendous mismanagement and planning only having one disposal bin onsite so when it was being emptied the employees stood around for hours (at $90/hour doing nothing) and we were billed for the extra time. There was no evidence to support the 'the soil was bad theory' despite us asking for soil reports/receipts from the dumping site. The one time I was able to connect with Chris the owner on our concerns he laughed at me on the phone and said not to call him he's too busy, deal with the staff...yet when I tried to deal with any one of the project managers assigned to us at various points we were given no answers or flat out ignored....they would have to 'ask Chris and get back to us' .....We sent emails, letters, texts, even went to their company worksite for answers and pleading for our project to be finished or to discuss deficiencies...we were ignored over and over and over.We were promised a completion date of Aug 1, 2021....it is now March of 2022..nearly 2 years later and our project still sits unfinished. Our tiles are completely uneven and they were installed in the fall ...yet here we are 6 months later and they still have no sand (grout) between them so they have shifted all over the place. They tiled right over/around a water downspout so now water just seeps into the soil below the tiles...???The trench that was built for the gas pipe was messed up and had to be dug up and redone. The first electrician quit and a second company had to come in and take over the project. Our fence was damaged by dirt piles they left sitting against in for 3-4 months and needed to be replaced. When we contacted GRN about this they completely ignored us.The concrete pad for the equipment that we were promised would sit flush and level is awful...sits well below the surrounding tiles, is completely uneven and parts are crumbling off...Our contract stated 5 lights in the pool.....they put 2 lights in.Our contract says a ladder will be built in....there's no ladder anywhere and its far too late to build an 'in-wall' ladder now.The skimmer sits inches below the tiles...major tripping hazardThe very expensive safety pool cover tracks are missing installation parts so no wonder so many other clients are having issues with their covers breaking down...I could go on and on.....We finally had enough of all the issues/deficiencies, missed deadlines, missing contract items that we hired a lawyer.2 letters have been sent to GRN from our lawyer demanding answers and accountability for the giant mess of a project and what has transpired....however par for the course with this company we have not received any responses by the given deadlines. We will now be taking this company to court to be finally answer for the disaster our project has become.BEWARE and do your homework...there are other complaints on BBB website etc...and I personally know of several other clients who have had nothing but issues with this company.Read the contract fine print.....my father is a contractor and his exact words were I have never seen a more self serving contract by a company in my life...its completely one sided"Let our experience be a warning to anyone wanting to build a pool ...this company is bad news"
