Calgary Dog House

Very happy with my experiences at Calgary Dog House. I've been going there for a year to groom my 2 dogs, and even though I now live in the SW, I will continue going there. The staff is really nice and my pups are groomed exactly as I ask, for a very reasonable price.

One day I noticed some dry blood on my baby head so I told the staff but thought kids okay. It’s ok. A week afterward, they told me someone stepped on my baby paw. I thought it should be ok. However throughout the weekend, she was limping and no putting any weight on her injured paw. I was worried and called the day care to see what to do as a first dog owner. No replies at all. I decided to take my baby to the vet. I was not looking for financial compensation. It’s merely how to handle it as I worried broken bones. After almost a month, she still avoids putting weight on her paws.It’s disappointing. I understand it’s hard to handle many dogs and they do roam around. No replies at all is very disappointing as if I don’t know if it’s safe to put my dog there.that kind of human mistakes and errors can be avoided. I hope they would just reply to give me some guidance. Almost a month later my baby still avoids putting weight to her injured paw though she seems better.My dog has been limping here and there. She would be excited running and then lift her paws for a while when slowing down at home. I brought in a healthy dog but I took back an injured one.Perhaps it should be called “the dog slaughter house”

Take my mini Aussie (Odie) there for his monthly grooming/cut/wash. He is always very excited when I get back, and they do a great job for a great price. Very happy with their services.

I've been taking my babies to the Doghouse for a few years. This includes my husky Anna, golden retriever Wiley, and of course the King, Scooter. I just have to put out the carrier and Scoot jumps right in as he knows where he's going for the day. Excellent business and both Nicole and Billy Jo have trained me well!

My dog was injured in this daycare as a staff stepped on her paw causing fracture. I called a few times and no phone call returns. At the end the owner denied my voice mail (I recorded it as the incident has not been statue-barred. I reserve my right to sue them). The owner did NOT apologize and repeatedly told me she was away when injury happened and just small steps and she was fine. The owner is unable to take responsibility as an owner but also did not apologize but confronted for leaving bad reviews. At the end I said I may sue her. Her response was “something wrong with you.” I PAID the service to have a safe place for my dog. Apparently safety is not included in this daycare.Looking at any previous review, the owner cannot take negative reviews nor comments.If safety is important to you, avoid at all costs.

We have been taking our mini. schnauzer to Calgary Dog House for over 4 years and our pup has enjoyed every minute of it (daycare and grooming). When getting a groom, his daycare is included in the cost of grooming so he quickly forgets he was groomed.Billie-Jo is attentive, caring and personable. Our pup would run in each time and come home well behaved and calm. She truly cares about each pup and knows how to manage their personalities. Billie-Jo gives good canine advice as well. Highly recommend!

the owner Billy-Jo and her team are so great. very accommodating and you know your pets are being in great care. They do such a great job cutting my dog's hair, she looks super adorable. highly recommend supporting this wonderful business.

My dog Ralfy is a senior, and the staff takes great care of him.

We recently rescued a year and a half old German Shepard who had serious separation anxiety due to being kenneled by their previous owner for 12-14 hrs/day. Any time we need to leave Digs alone for longer than a few hours we take him into Calgary Dog House and he absolutely loves it there!! When we get within a couple of blocks of the daycare he gets extremely excited and cant wait to get in to play with the other dogs. He is a big dog but very social and good with other dogs! Good prices, amazing staff and a great atmosphere for Digs! Thank you for the great service and treating my boy like your own. Cheers!
