Coast Wilderness Medical Training

This organization is 10x better then I had hoped for, the two week EMR program taught by Amanda was fantastic and I would highly suggest anyone who is wanting to do this course go to coastal. Kieran and every employee I met were great and super helpful, they will go well out of their way to help you, along with all the former students aswell. The open class room for practice once you complete your cert is such a big help for gearing up to do your license and keeping your skills fresh. Overall super happy with the choice to take class here.

The medical training offered at Coast is the standard of excellence. The ability to attend practice nights allowed me to gain confidence working with a diverse group of individuals, and any questions I had were answered completely and in detail. Coast's staff are professional and well-experienced, both as practitioners and as instructors. If you are looking for a place to develop your medical skills and knowledge, Coast is the place to go.

I have been teaching first aid courses for over 30 years. Now it was my turn to be the student. I so very much appreciated the elaborate scenarios, which played out in real time. The effort and logistics required to pull this off is not often attempted by many training agencies. I actually feel as if I have participated in real life search and rescue wilderness medicine experiences. This training will stick with me for a long time.

Recently Fort Nelson Search and Rescue attended a First Aid & CPR/AED Level C Advanced course with Coast Wilderness Medical Training They were able to send Mitch all the way to Fort Nelson B.C. to do recurrent training.Mitch was a fantastic instructor that knew his content very well and really worked hard with the group to complete this 40 hour course.We are all ready looking forward to more upgrading in the near future with Coast Wilderness Medical Training.Thanks again to Mitch as a great Instructor

I just finished the part time EMR course offered on weekends. I have learned so much over these last 4 weeks and honestly have felt so invigorated and enthusiastic about life (even though I haven't had a break in the last 28 days - I work full time as well). The instructors are amazingly supportive and passionate about their students' success. I still have lots of practice needed but post course you are welcomed into the classroom so you can prepare for licensing and hone the skills learned. Thank you Kieran, Alisa, and Hana. I'm going to take a small hiatus but see everyone soon!

I don't usually write reviews, but I thought that our instructors, Liam and Straun, were so outstanding that I needed to give them a shout out. Both did a fantastic job at communicating the material, keeping our group engaged, providing clear and informative answers, and developing enriching hands-on scenarios.They were approachable and supportive, and I really felt like I came away from the course with knowledge and confidence.Thanks fellas, you're both gifted teachers. 10/5 stars.

I recently had the pleasure of taking a Wilderness First Responder course, and I have to say, it was an incredible experience. The instructors (Liam, Straun, and Ashley) were knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about their craft, and their teaching methods were second to none. The scenarios we were put through were challenging and realistic, and they really helped me feel confident in my ability to handle emergencies in the wilderness.But what really made the course special was the group of people taking it with me. Everyone was so supportive and eager to learn!Overall, I can't recommend this course enough. If you're looking to improve your wilderness first aid skills, this is definitely the way to do it. Thanks to everyone involved for such a fantastic experience! Including Scout :-)

If you’re looking for wilderness first aid training, you’ve come to the right place! I have an extensive first aid background as well as first responder and this was the best course I’ve ever taken. Our instructor, Straun, did a fabulous job! Of all, the instructors I’ve encountered, he was, by far, the BEST! I would highly recommend CWMT and our organization will definitely be returning when it’s time to renew!

I rarely write reviews but the instructors, training & classmates at CWMT were so good I had to write a rave review! I did both the WFR and EMR upgrade with CWMT in Squamish and can't speak highly enough about my experience. The Squamish location is fantastic and Cam, Mike and Kieran are awesome instructors! Their real world experience in the field is invaluable and I can honestly say that Mike is one of the best teachers I have ever had for any subject bar none! The classes were so well organized, touched on all the essentials and delivered in a patient practical way to promote success. I highly recommend CWMT for anyone looking to get their WFR or EMR!
