Just moved here and was recommended this place by a customer.They were very welcoming and friendly, extremely accommodating for my nail art requests. I brought my daughter with me too and we both got pedicures, I got a full set and my daughter got a manicure. Very clean and comfortable and they’re great with sanitizing everything.I will definitely be a repeat customer, Tom did my set and pedi he was great!

I have gone to Amethyst for months, I get the same thing every 3 weeks and I even refer 2 clients a week but not anymore. I complained about my nails once because my usual tech did a horrible job, my usual coffin ombré looked like chicklet gum. Short and so thick and uneven. 3 of my natural nails were so short he had to use fake nails to match the rest.I was not happy but I still went back….I never had to make an appointment until 3 months ago I walked in and received unprofessional attitude and even laughed at for not booking an appointment! So I made one the next fill and when I walked in was told it would be a wait… 1hour WITH a booked time. So my next full I walked in and was again greeted with unprofessional attitude and was even laughed at by the owner for not booking an appointment in front of the whole salon! I walked out never to return again. I drove down to Lans on bath rd, I was greeted by Lan with a SMILE and got my nails done at Lans instead and even talked to the other salon guests who had the SAME experience as I did. So I know I’m not the only one. I guess my $70 FILL every 3 weeks will be going to Lans instead.

I was here for the first time today. Booking an appointment was super easy through Facebook Page and Messenger. The people were all very friendly. Getting my nails done is a bit of stress as I really don’t know much about what things are called just what I want it to look like. Alex took care of me and he was amazing. So friendly. Honestly I don’t think anyone has ever taken the care and attention to my manicure that he did. It is by far the best French manicure I have ever had. I would highly recommend

I messaged Amethyst Nail Studio on Facebook to book an appointment 2 days prior and they got me right in! When I got there they’d accidentally double booked but the owner did a great job of working that out and making sure the other customer and I were both happy. and I’ve never had a better set. Kim did an amazing job on my nails, despite how short they were and hard to work with. He did exactly what I wanted without me having to tell him at all! He asked me if what he was doing was what I wanted, and it always was. My nails ended up looking just like the pic i showed him! Huge thanks to Amethyst Nail Studio for the amazing dip powder set and quick, amazing service!

I really enjoyed my visit, very welcoming, really enjoyed the massage on the feet, leg and hands.

Honestly the worst nail salon I've been to. I will just let the pictures speak for themselves, all the cuts and totally uneven designs. Also glued a take tip over acrylic he didn't take off fully.(was trying a new place another horrible nail experience somewhere else) After huffing and puffing the whole time.

**UpdatedWent back to Amethyst today for a dip fill after getting a set from another salon. Amethyst made me feel right at home and welcome yet again. Alex did an amazing job with the fill and was extremely attentive to detail. I got a French tip (second photo) and I couldn’t be happier! The length and shape are awesome and make my thicker fingers look a little more elegant. He even took the time to file down the underside of my nails (which I’ve never had anyone else do) to eliminate any bumps and make them smooth. This is important for me because I do a lot of work with my hands and any bumps on the underside just accrue dirt! Thanks so much Alex!// 2022I very rarely leave reviews (good or bad), but I can’t stop admiring my nails! Admittedly I selfishly want to keep this place a secret so it doesn’t get super busy, but Kingstonians deserve to know about it! First time visiting Amethyst, and will absolutely be coming back. The staff were so kind and instantly made my friend and I feel welcome and at ease. I got a gel fill done and it took a little longer than I expected but was so worth it for the care the ladies took with our nails to make sure they were perfect. I am obsessed with how great they look, the color, shape, length, everything! Thank you Amethyst ❤️

I have never gotten my nails done before and I decided to go here today. All of the staff were so friendly and welcoming. It was also very sanitary and clean looking. Lastly, there prices are so reasonable like I only payed $68 for my set and the work they do is amazing. I was very happy with how my nails turned out. I definitely recommend coming here to get your nails done.

First time coming here, and I was not disappointed! Definitely recommend ALEX! He’s great and takes his time! Loved the conversation and laughs… showed him a photo and he accommodated me with my comfort level (length wise, and Color) I will be back for my refill couldn’t have been happier!
