My boyfriend and I were visiting Lake Louise and decided to stop here for some lunch. We looked up some restaurants in the area and settled on this one because it wasn't crazily overpriced, we were both in the mood for a bison burger, which we saw on the menu online. We got there and were given the option to sit inside or outside and opted for the air conditioned inside. Inside, there was only one other person seated. We sat down at about 12:20pm and were given a breakfast menu. I asked our server if there was a lunch menu. He stated that breakfast did not stopped being served until 2:00pm. We were disappointed that we would have to order breakfast when it was already after noon, but we didn't want to go somewhere else at that point. We both ordered the chicken and waffles and began a very long wait for our food. While waiting, we saw the outside server carrying burgers to the outside customers. We eventually stopped her and asked if there was an outside only menu because we were forced to order from the breakfast menu, even after we asked for a lunch menu. She went to talk to her supervisor, and the two of them presumably went to talk to our server in the back (we hadn't seen him since we ordered in the almost-empty dining room). She returned to tell us that there is a smaller lunch menu before 2:00pm that our server did not know about because he's new. She apologized a bunch, but it wasn't her fault. We finally got our food, which was alright, but all we could think about was that we could've had the burgers we craved if our server would have given us the correct menu. After receiving our food, we did not see our server again until both of us were completely finished eating and out of our drinks. He finally returned to take our plates and then brought us more water. My boyfriend asked if we could just get the bill. It took a good 5 minutes to get the bill after we asked, and it almost seemed like he was trying to delay it. I can understand making an honest mistake at work, especially when new, but our server never once acknowledged or apologized for the menu mistake. We weren't offered compensation or anything at all (not even a simple apology). We don't want to be those people" who make a big fuss over something small or demand to be compensated

The location of the place is great and the ambiance is good too.We had lunch here. The service was super slow. The food was coming in really late. It is expensive too.Some of the food items were good, some were not.The good ones were game meat burger, flatbread, cauliflower and garlic soup, molten chocolate with ice cream, vanilla cheesecake.The bad ones were farfelle pasta and veggie board.

This restaurant is part of the CRMR group and they maintain high and consistent standards. This one is set in a very rustic log cabin hotel in the middle of arguably the most scenic areas in Canada.The food was delicious as expected, ambiance was wonderful. The three of us had their duck confit, pork chops, and mushroom pappardelle, all fabulously presented and prepared.Their pricing, like many similar restaurants, had entrees ranging from $30 to $60 so won't be for the budget conscious but was in line with other quality establishments.I would recommend it for our car club's next dinner event.

Attention Day trippers to Lake Louise!!! This is the spot to check out for your breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Very good quality food and well presented. We had a lovely dinner here on our 1st night and an awesome breakfast the next morning. We observed that the nearby Chateau lacked a sit down breakfast option and long waits for tables. The dining room has rustic charm and great service and the adjacent lounge has some good options from the same kitchen. Coming out of Covid, the staff and management are doing a great job with the menu and service.

The worst service and one of the longest wait times for food ever. Avoid if you can.Yes we understand it is a very busy season during the 4th of July week and they are probably understaffed. But it is no excuse for the level of service (lack of) they provide. We sat at the bar, waited patiently for 10min without anyone greeting us. The bartender didn’t make eye contact with us once. And yes we had to ask to order food, and yes we had to ask for even water.Then the food never came. We checked in a couple of times and were told that the wait time is 50min - 1hr and so deal with I it. And yes all our food took 50min to come even the salads. And the food was very very meh and undercooked. Def a total rip-off considering the price point. :(At the end of course we had to go to the counter to ask for a check and a refill of water. Wish we had read some of the bad reviews about its lack of services…

We went to Deer Lodge with a high hope. We expected to be treated well because it was a fine dinning restaurant in a famous tourist place. However, we were very disappointed at the service. The waitress who served our table did not take us serious. We had to wait more than 30 minutes for the foods. During that time, no one paid attention to us. We were starving and thirsty after a long hike. She didn’t come to refill our water even once as well. So, we had to call another server to ask how much longer we had wait for the foods. When she came over, she acted like she didn’t care about her clients. I had to address to her that we waited more than 30 minutes and we were getting late for our schedule. Then she said she would tell the chef about this and walk away without any apologies for the delay (in fact she never notified us about the time we had to wait that long for the foods). It was very unprofessional.We ordered 3 main courses. One of those was beef tenderloin, and we asked for medium rare. The beef came out VERY WELL DONE and COLD. The meal was not cheap at all but the food quality and the service were worse than casual restaurants.We left tip though for the kitchen but not for her. To be fair the other two dishes were ok and the other waiters were nice to us, though they didn’t serve our table. Plus, she wasn’t wearing uniform like other servers, we had no idea what her position was. If we had more time, we would ask to talk to their manager. What a disappointing experience!

We came here for Brunch to escape the cold.The chicken and waffles was one of the best meals we had on the trip. I kind of regret both of us not getting this. If you come for brunch, get the chicken and waffles. (The chicken and waffles deserves the 5th star.)I got a sampler plate with 2 eggs, 2 slices of bacon, 1 Buffalo sausage, a small breakfast steak, and some breakfast potatoes. It was okay, but nowhere near as good as the chicken and waffles.Service was a bit slow, but we were also there at a bit of a weird time (so I think there was only 1 person taking care of everyone in the dining room).

We arrived around 1:20pm on a Friday for a late lunch. Brunch was served until 2 so we ended up getting brunch and it was delicious! Thanks to another review I got the chicken and waffles and it was soooo good. As someone who lived in the south US for a while this rivaled any I ever had! Service was great, the hot tea was also delicious.

The only reason I am rating 3 stars is because the food is way overpriced. It tasted fine. However, for two people spending over $120 on two entrees, a small salad and two drinks was definitely not worth it. The wine I had tasted watered down and I couldn’t finish it. The pizza was alright, I ordered from the lounge menu. The bison my partner ordered was good but so small, maybe three or four bites worth. If you are going to want to spend some money on a nice dinner I recommend going to the Fairmont instead and you can expect similar pricing and better food.

Worst breakfast of my life, and the waitress had the nerve to serve it to us . When we asked if it looked burnt, she said it is the sauce. The egg is supposed to be poached. Looks like yesterday's breakfast that was reheated up and served. Horrible.
