Hidden gem in Gastown! I stayed in Vancouver for two weeks for a trip, trying various foods, and this restaurant was definitely the most impressive one.-Is That (=their wine list) French?-No, they have BC produced wines - good quality, very selective

Amazing food and service. Every dish brings surprises and unexpected tastes.Interesting part is that their menu keeps changing every week for the freshness.

Nice wine bar, great ambiance. However food was just okay. I was influenced by a tiktok and was told the beef tartare is the best. It was a little bland. Nice place to catch up with friends for a glass of wine. Don’t expect too much of the food. Very good service tho.

My partner and I had the oysters, mussels, pâté, sikil pak, burrata, poached pear, 2 flights of wine( 3 whites 3 reds), and a Glass of ice wine (literally best thing to exist in planet earth. Plz try this if you get a chance) Everything was absolutely to die for. The food was so well curated and prices are fair. The mussel and Pâté stood out to me the most but honestly it’s hard to pick favorites here. The broth the mussels were cooked in was heavenly, herbed, and rich although we got 2 spoiled ones which was off putting. I was a bit scared biting into each one as my second one was bad. I also felt the poached pear could go with a little more of that angelic cream:)What really ruined the experience for me however was the terrible service. I understand people have off days but as someone who worked in the service industry when I was young, I’ve never had that bad of a day where I’d be rude to people to the level we were greeted with. One of the servers which had long brown hair had a massive attitude .No matter how hard I smiled at her she kept giving us death stares and was really judgmental when I was ordering, Giving me annoyed expressions (note all I did was say what I wanted nothing more). This left me really confused, hurt, and honestly kind of insecure which was weirdly dehumanizing. Even my partner was like what’s her problem? Considering I dropped $200 on this experience I would’ve expected much kinder service with hopefully at least one smile. When I ordered we were also not told that the burrata would come with crackers not crostini like it said on the menu and the pâté, would not come with cornichon’s or mustard but rather some weirdly sweet limp mushrooms. I would’ve liked that communicated.Short blond haired server was much kinder though but still quite rigid, I’m sure maybe just shy though. Wouldn’t have minded only receiving service from them. Although she came by and kindly asked if we would like more bread for our pâté as not enough came with such a hefty portion which I thought was sweet until I saw the extra charge on my bill. By the time it reached our table 10-15 minutes later (the restaurant was basically empty). I had already used our extra crackers to finish it(mixed feelings about this not technically anyones fault just keep that in mind if they go “looks like you need more bread for that, would you like me to bring more?” It’s not complementary.I feel like some of these small details would not have bothered me as much if the servers were actually more inviting though I understand we are all humans and make mistakes.Ambience was lacking. Black wall in the back could do with something and maybe a bit more desiccated hanging flowers on right hand side beautiful brick wall. Loved the vibe though and the real candles.

This is exactly the type of place you’d hope to find in every city of the world: cozy, tasty, original, flavors out of this world, and real neighborhood feel and care. Staff are knowledgeable, professional, but also so kind and fun to talk to. The owner is behind the counter working and chatting to you. The oysters are fabulous, and so is everything else on the menu. Truly so special. Flavors mixtures and presentations are artistic, beautiful, and ever better tasting. Wine is diverse and superb.Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

A gem at Blood Alley! The octopus dish was amazing and so original. The beef tartare was also great. We tried orange wine for the first time. It was interesting, I’m glad we had the chance to try it.

A cute cozy restaurant. Great for girl’s night and date nights. Will definitely come back to try more oysters & wine. But the rest of the menu was just ok!Oysters & wine: Oysters were fresh & shucked well. The wine selection diverse and very unique. Ask for the wine flight to sample more wines! 5/5Rainbow trout dip: it’s mashed up fish dip with some onions and Ikura on top. I liked it! 4/5Manila clams: the broth and flavour is amazing but it came out luke warm/almost cold like it’s been sitting on the kitchen counter for a while. The clams were also on the small side. 3.5/5Sockeye salmon crudo: my least fav thing of the night. The sauce somehow tasted bitter and the salmon itself was slightly fishy and stringy. 2/5

Amazing food with great service and nice vibes. Their menu changes so it's hard to make specific recommendations, but everything we tried was great. The wines are a fun collection of BC wines, and we had the opportunity to taste them before commiting to our order.

Very fresh oysters. But if you’re really hungry you will need to either order a lot of eat something before/after as the portions are small and the menu is more tapas sized palates. But everything is very tasty. The waitress we had was a bit new so wasn’t too informative, but all in all a good experience.

What a treat! Went here for a late night dinner. My friend got one each of the oysters to try and virginica oyster was the favourite along with sunseeker. Ordered the drunken clams (make sure to gey bread with it causw the sauce is irresistible), octopus (super luxious with a creamy sauce and charred beg), and mushrooms (had a delicious smokey flavour with a bit of tang), and then last but not least burrata with tomato jam and porscuito (very filling). Finished off with a deconstructed cheesecake (with elderflower and blueberries in red wine reduction). We asked for 6 glasses of wine (mostly selections from BC) to share and to just be surprised. We gave our server our wine preferences and that we would like some whites, maybe a rose, and a juicy red. Everything paired so well with food. Highly recommend and will definitely come back!
