Handa Travel

My family and I have been purchasing tickets for the past 6 years and always through Subair Paul. The experience with the last ticket purchase we lost all confidence we had in Paul and Handa Travel. Initial stages of the ticket purchase went well and that is when the pandemic resulted in the closure of multiple airports. During this time, I contacted Paul to see what our options were and he kept on pushing  to wait till 10 days before the travel date to make any changes. I requested a cancellation as the pandemic was worsening in India, I left multiple voice messages and text messages about this situation and did not receive any adequate responses from Paul. He would reply with vague messages telling me he would get back to me. This lasted for almost a week, which brought us really close to the flight date. I informed Paul that as my mother in law was living in a lockdown due to the pandemic she will not be able to get to the airport. He then replied that if she does not show up to the airport we would have to pay a penalty. Due to this conversation, I talked to Paul about rescheduling the flight, however as the situation was worsening, we could not decide on a date that would be safe to travel. He then suggested getting a voucher for travel till December 2020 (the travel should be completed by this date). We agreed to this as we did not want to lose the money and we did not have any other options. Due to the lack of safety of travelling from India and the complication it would follow we requested Paul for a refund. This attempt was unsuccessful and I was forced to contact my bank to issue a chargeback.  Immediately after the charge back was filed I received a very unwelcoming and extremely rude phone call from Paul. He would not listen to what I had to say and was shouting at me for talking to the bank. I tried to tell him that the reason I contacted the bank is because Paul would not reply to my calls or texts. After the phone call I decided that  I would like to speak to a manager and let them know about my experience. I asked Paul on how I can reach them. For which he provided an email address. I wanted him to confirm that the email would reach a manager for which he said the email  'might' reach them and you may or may not get a response."  This comment made me question whether my email would reach the management at Handa travels and google reviews seemed to be a good platform to inform the management about the same. If Paul had spoken to us on a regular basis and given us professional updates on the matter we would have been more satisfied with the service. Due to this experience

I planned my wedding through Handa travel in 2015 and they were very helpful and my agent Ramya was great! She always responded to my inquiries in a timely manner. Then we planned a trip to Cuba for this December and she got us a good deal finding everything we were looking for.

Sent an inquiry through the website, didn't receive a response. Called their location and got passed twice after explaining everything. I hung up.

They just ask for money first then they don't care what happens after. They don't inform about changes flight number and changes departure time. I will never deal with them again . I will go to another agency.

Avoid their agent Subir Paul; he is dishonest, insincere and unprofessional. Instead of taking responsibility for his own mistakes, he will lie to your face and mislead you to save his credibility. Take your money elsewhere where they understand decency and professionalism.

I've seen poor customer service before, but what I encountered at Handa Travel was so extreme that it was almost impressive. It's even more shocking since their customer service is supposedly their main selling point. Getting information out of their agent was like pulling teeth, even for basic questions, and the agent would repeatedly ignore the basic information I provided (dates available, price ranges, etc.). It was almost as if the agent was actively attempting to dissuade me from being a customer.

Always a great experience with Cherry. You might not like some agents, but I'm sure you will like Cherry.
