Costco Pharmacy

Tried repeatedly to get a code to access online prescription renewals. It says you have to call the pharmacy but no one ever answers the phone. I know they are busy but I guess their online renewal really doesn’t work. Wasted time.

Usually everything’s in stock, and pharmacy team is very helpful. Impossible to reach on the phone though.

Great dispensing fee (my benefits do not cover this) and easy to refill a prescription, either by phone or online, even if they need when the doctor needs to be contacted as repeats have run out.

Have issues with refills at Barrie, they were adamant they did not recieve a refill so it was re-sent but they were 100% sure it was not. That is until my dr sent me a copy. They also don't use the right # to fax requests especially

Recommended. Lower dispensing fee than any other pharmacy I'm aware of- and fee is clearly posted. Barrie costco is helpful in going over and above, giving advice re generic vs name brand (as I'm not covered by insurance), and also navigating the system requirements for and explaining the in and outs of any related services. You do have to wait about 30 -45 minutes for your refill once you drop it off, but I've not found any issues with this since I'm at costco shopping anyway. I had to do the same thing at Shoppers DM before, and it was tough with that much time in one smaller store. Iv never had an issue with this costco or the ones in Richmond Hill and Newmarket before this. My pharmacy of choice.

I had a terrible experience here. My doctor sent this office a fax for my new prescription. The next day I went to pick it up, and I was informed that I had to wait 45 minutes because they will not process it until I was there. Then I got attitude from them, when I asked them why they did not call me to advise me this. I then picked up my fax and went to Stroud pharmacy and was satisfied in 10 minutes with a smile. Costco are too big and they do not care. Prescriptions are very important sometimes if people are suffering as was in my case.

Horrible experience. I was understandingly told to go to a pharmacist for a specific medical question. I waited at the pharmacy window while the pharmacists looked at me and continued on with their conversations laughing. When a black haired female pharmacist finally attended to me, she was not only incompetent and did not know what I was talking about, she was also rude and rolled her eyes, it could’ve popped out of its sockets.

Prices are fair, cheaper than others. Issue is they don't fill your prescription until you get there (for first time clients). They don't even notify you about this. Now you get to wait more.
