I highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to improve their public speaking skills... You will learn a lot about yourself and gain some self-confidence while making new friends at the same time! I was a student in the English Level 1 Public Speaking Through Comedy Workshop. Stephan, the instructor, was absolutely wonderful; his enthusiasm was infectious and I really appreciated how supportive he was of our material and working through it in preparation for the grad show (which was also incredibly fun to do!). I liked that we had a smaller group in the class; it was nice to get to know everyone and they were all absolutely lovely. The MalPensando community is amazing! Really nice and fun experience, had great tutors and couldn't ask for a better group! Had fun writing my sketch and also helping the others write theirs as well all while laughing and enjoying our time!

This year I decided to grow professionally by becoming a better public speaker. By default, it is frightening but not being a native English speaker in an English speaking country adds another level of difficulty and insecurity.Malpensado caught my attention, when I read in their description of the course, that they would help me to learn how to own my accent and use it on my advantage. They delivered very well on their promise, and I felt supported since day one.The instructors (Pepe and Jenna) are amazing, and they were even more excited for us than ourselves (if that’s even possible) on the graduation day. I personally appreciate the pre-show exercises as they put nerves to rest, so we could focus on having fun. And fun we had!I thought at the beginning that this would be just a course I would do to improve myself, but after the graduation show, it feels like beginning of a journey, I can’t stop now.I can’t recommend this experience enough. If you are hesitant about challenging yourself, my recommendation is… just do it. It is life changing.

I'll start with one simple word - AMAZING!Juan and Stephan clearly did their homework. They tailored the entire comedic show to our company, and were terrific at including our employees in the show. The Improv sections were hilarious (even though I ended up getting brought up as a volunteer)! I would highly recommend them for your next event! I really enjoyed and learned a lot about public speaking, how to express myself and confidently communicate in front of a crowd. Courses are instructed by experienced comedians. Exceptional centric location in Toronto. I definitely recommend it, the experience is totally worth it.

Before MalPensando I could not imagine I will be so comfortable with public speaking in just 7 weeks! I love how their standup courses designed! it’s a combination of theory and trainings, where in the end we developed our own material and performed on stage in front of large crowd.Jenna and Pepe are amazing instructors who encouraged and supported us along the way. I learned so much from them! Besides teaching MalPensando are doing a great job in community building. I had so much fun with the group throughout the program!

I invited Stephan to present at a celebration for four affiliated Toastmasters clubs. His presentation was on point, funny, engaging and educational - all at the same time. Juan and Stephan were the stars of the show at our Ontario Public Service Hispanic Heritage Month event. I don't think I've ever seen people laugh that much at work, and more than 95% of attendees rated the event excellent.
