Computer Service Center

Went into get a new battery for my Tab. Owner said they don't do Tabs. I said it clearly states on the website that you do Tabs. He said he has not had the time to change it. He does though, obviously have time to waste peoples' time saying he does do Tabs. D

Do NOT take anything here to be repaired unless you want it broken.I had a family member bring their laptop here for a battery replacement- this is one of the easiest repair tasks to do. The only reason I didn't do it myself was because I didn't have the correct screwdriver for this particular laptop, so money would be better spent on taking it to a repair place than buying a tool I probably wouldn't use again.Well, I was dead wrong. The laptop wouldn't turn on when we got it back, so I took it to a trusted friend who I knew would have all the right tools and not break my stuff- only took 5 seconds to figure out that the incompetent staff at Computer Service Center plugged the battery in backwards with brute force and damaged the battery and motherboard (broken clips and plastic) while doing so. This fries the battery and motherboard due to reverse polarity. So what should have been a quick, simple fix ended up killing an otherwise healthy $1600 laptop.When we contacted the owner of the business, the owner was very rude and basically told us to eff off. He obviously doesn't know anything about electronics and denied that plugging the battery in wrong could damage the laptop. He refused to offer any refund or compensation for killing this laptop.(Attached photos show how the battery should have been connected vs how it was connected, and the damage done to the internally)

DO NOT GO HERE. He replaced my 1060 6gb with an awful GT 730 and charged me 200$ for a 50$ card on top of service charges. This was after he lied, saying he had 1060 4gb there to replace it with. Very rude on the phone. He said he'll order a better card, but I'll probably be paying an over-inflated price for that, too!Edit: Three months later, the new card broke. Disgusting.

Truly appreciate the wonderful service and help we received here. Will be our go to spot whenever we need something! If you have any computer needs this is the place to go!

Sold us a computer that is still malfunctioning to this day, but charged us to fix it despite it being under warranty. $150 to reinstall the operating system, and they didn't bother to ask or say anything about software problems being excluded from our warranty until AFTER they sneakily charged us. Had we known we would have done the reinstall ourselves. Charging $150 to put the damn windows CD in and hit install? And then insist that you did a lot of work and deserve to be paid even after we spent all that on computers in your store?The nerve of these guys. The computer still malfunctions but there's no way we're going back here, word for the wise: Amazon has a money back return policy and half priced laptops that are way better.

The go-to store in Owen Sound for all of your computer needs. Every single time I've shopped for something computer related it always leads me back to the Computer Service Center. They've had every odd part that I've been searching for when Renewed, Staples, The Source, Deals and Walmart let me down. Just recently I needed a motherboard screw kit for my case - when I explained my situation they just gave me the kit and wouldn't even take a tip as thanks. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this store.

Dropped off an old Win95 Packard Bell machine. Best service ever! Just the next day they had desoldered and resoldered the battery (to reset the unknown CMOS password). And what is the price? Just thirty bucks! I will definitely come back if I need anything else.
