Angry Lobster Seafood Bar

A good place to go if you are in Montreal.

The Angry Lobster is such a beautiful bar/lounge. Surrounded by luxury and lucius leather you can indulge in a wide selection of classic cocktails and wines. You also have access to the impressive menu from La Queue de Cheval upstairs. The selection of dry-aged in house meats is impressive and you can also have some of the best Japanese wagyu you can find in Montreal. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly.

Yummy and friendly staff

My friend told me about this Burger Bar. That I had to try. So in the rainstorm that was happening I decided to venture out. And even with the torrential downpours that were happening I enjoyed the burger so much. Maybe one of the best burgers I've ever had. And our service was a lovely Australian girl oh, she was super friendly. And their receipt is so funny.

The services is good, but really pricy, it surprised me, we four friends spent about $800 CAD, about $200 per person. No tap water by the way.

Haha bar tender is great to talk to at the bar downstairs. Didn't try the food, but drinks are made to perfection, ambiance is great

Phenomenal service, even better food!

Terrible. Over priced. High pressure sales. We stopped in for dinner at the bar. All the empty seats should've tipped us off. Asked for a menu and they instead tried to push us to buy drinks and wouldn't give us the food menu. We asked to see the drink menu and they said they can make any cocktail... Wouldn't give us the list. Before we tested that out we asked about wines by the glass. Bartender told us they have a Pinot, Cabernet Sauvignon and a Merlot but it's a blend. After asking where the Pinot was from and the bartender not knowing... A drink list showed up... We then ordered a New York sour to see if the bartender could make any cocktail... they served with a sugared rim. When I told him it's a classic cocktail and that's not the way it's made... He proceeded to argue with my wife about the cocktail instead offering to fix it. He blamed it on regional differences! It's called a New York sour! We generally like to sit at the bar because of the bartenders, but this place felt like we were at a used car lot. We asked for the bill as we weren't about to eat there after the bar experience. While paying the bartender, knowing we weren't ordering food, took my wifes coat check tag off the bar and walked away. Nice touch. In the end we paid $40 for a beer and a glass of wine. Just happy I didn't waste more money at this inauthentic tourist trap. With all the great places in Montreal... Don't bother wasting your time at the Angry Lobster!

Great meal and excellent service

Great place for dining and drinking, lovely staff.. Parking nearby. Would recommend especially for seafood.
