As a person of Asian descent, finding a hair stylist who can cut my hair properly has been a major struggle. This is my ride-or-die salon for everything hair related and could not recommend it enough.

Left and cried cause my hair was suppose to be blonde. Ended up being orange then purple, would not pay for services! Hair is damaged now and will need to be fixed.

Today I got a perfect haircut in this salon by stylish Maryam. It was fast and yet expertly. I will definitely back and will suggest this place to everyone.

I had to book a last minute cut and style and the staff who did my hair was very kind but honestly my hair is butchered. I have very big thick natural curls and she cut it dry and cut HUGE chunks of my curls off (which for anyone has curls, knows how hard it is to get any length) and I have been trying to grow my hair for ages. She cut huge chunks off and then after washing, when brushing it out my hair was tangled (as most hair is, especially most curly hair is after a wash) and I was holding back tears. It hurt so much and hair was being ripped out of my head. Finally she blew it dry (which took almost half an hour, and for me is usually 15m tops doing it myself), and started straightening. Halfway through, she left me to do another client and I was so upset and so unhappy because my now straight hair was so uneven and in different lengths because it was cut curly. She finally came back to finish straightening it and I couldn’t wait to leave and now my hair is super short and looks awful and I’m really dissatisfied. Now I’m afraid to wear my curls natural again because it will be even shorter and I’ve been working so hard to grow it. I would not recommend this place for a cut or style, especially for curly or thick or ethnic hair.

I went to Zigzag for an simple haircut and cost me around 60 dollars. The hairstylist blew SO MUCH small hair into my clothes which was absolutely not normal and made my skin so itchy. I went back home and check inside my clothes and called them to complain. the reception girl said they would call me back and they never called back. They also delete my comment on their Facebook post.

Mask policy still in place despite provincial regulations not matching this business owner’s personal preference.Wasted time and money to book time off to arrive to masks required when it is also my right to not wear one or be asked to wear one.Will take my business elsewhere as haircuts are uneven and mediocre at best for exorbitant pricing.Ridiculous.

I called for an appointment twice. I understand they do not have receptionist right now but that's no excuse to not call back clients

My poor friend went and wanted to get her already dirty blonde hair lightened. She has been doing this for years. Please tell me how in God's name you turned her poor hair orange then purple? She left and called me in tears. How is it someone who claims to have experience screwed up so badly when you are supposed to know what to use. Seeing all the other negative reviews I see she's not the only one who has had her hair butchered

My fiance and I recently both made appointments here and now that we've had a couple days to think everything over, I knew I needed to make this review. I'll start off with the only two positives, which is that when we arrived, we got taken in right away (and got to sit next to each other which was really nice) and the employees/hair stylists who worked on us were very nice. Now for the rest of this review. When I called, I was told a full head of highlights would take 2-3 hours. Which as someone whose been getting this done multiple times a year for almost 20 years now with multiple hair salons, I know it should take 2 hours maximum with my length of hair. It took 4.5 hours!! On top of this, I requested saying I wanted to look blonder than my natural hair (I'm a dark blonde). I didn't notice it in the salon, but when I came home I saw that I was even darker now than before (almost brunette) and you could barely see the highlights unless you look super close. Not at all what I requested. I also requested beach waves for my style (I even brought in a picture), I got curls. The style barely lasted a few hours for our professional photoshot later that day and now seeing photos, it's really disappointing with half of my head being somewhat styled and the other side is completely flat. Our photographer even asked if we were able to go to the salon earlier that day (if she had to ask then you know that's not a good sign). My fiancé also requested a more spiked hair look (he showed pictures of his last cut) and the stylist gave him completely flat hair. On top, she never cleaned him off, so when we got home he was all itchy and covered completely in hair. We had also requested a beard trim for him, which my stylist agreed to do on him after I was done, but after taking 4.5 hours on my hair, there was no way we were going to stay any longer. We went home and he did it himself. Overall a super disappointing experience where literally everything we requested (style, colour, etc) was completely ignored, so basically throwing away around $250 + tip. Unfortunately the nice staff won't have us coming back if our requests are ignored. We'll be going somewhere else now and will have to pay someone else to fix up my hair/highlights.

My daughter has been here a couple of times and wanted to return, she asked for face framing layers and had been super exited for her haircut. Her layers were not blended and were just straight across. She didn't want to be rude to the staff as she loved them, so she didn't complain. When she returned home she was very sad and crying as she had been super disappointed and in how her hair had turned out. She was very upset as she felt as if she couldn't like her hair anymore. She loves the staff but will not be returning and scheduled an appointment somewhere else to get it fixed.
