Wilsons Heating

I recently had a propane boiler and domestic water heater sold and installed in my home by Wilsons Heating. In a time when contractors don't show or return calls, it was a very pleasant experience to have a company come out and really care about my needs. From David in sales who came out numerous times to make what I wanted work, the technicians who came to do the work were friendly, professional and listened and answered any questions I had, and last but not least Andrea in Admin getting it all started and organized. Great to see such professionalism.

While sometimes we look for problems with vendors, it's nice to share good stories too. We recently were looking to replace or upgrade our home energy systems and Wilsons has been a decades long provider of furnace oil, forced air heating as well as oil fired hot water equipment. The team was extraordinarily patient and helpful to walk us through our options, including immediate costs and long range projections. The menu we decided benefitted especially from the experience and knowledge of Dave Fisher. He could write a manual how to handle this kind of complex process with good humour and flawless tracking of all the loose ends that might otherwise go astray. When it came to install our proposal, the on-site team of Austin, Pat and Cary were respectful of our home, pleasant to be around, and did an excellent job including cleaning up afterwards. They even installed a temporary carpet runner to keep from tracking things in or out of the house. Overall it was a reminder that an initial low price may not be a bargain if its based on bad advice, less than expert or sloppy workmanship. We are happy to be Wilsons' customers and would recommend their Home Energy Services team to anyone.

Very pleased with the workmanship carried out by Wilson’s to address my plumbing needs. The technicians were pleasant, professional and efficient. The cost for the work was more than reasonable and I will be recommending these folks to all of my friends and colleagues.

Had a service man named Blake (I think, bad with names..) come clean my hot water heater and oil furnace. Couldn't be happier! Compared to last years cleaning (Different company) it's a night and day difference. Very professional, attention to detail and was obviously very experienced. I hope he does my cleaning next year too. Great experience would recommend to any home owner.

I engaged Wilson’s to replace my boiler which heats my hot water radiators and the hot water in my house.After the install, hot water in my kitchen didn’t work and they sent a plumber out to fix the problem.Wilson’s then out of scoped billed me for this and claimed that the issue was unrelated and circumstantial.They threatened to not fill my propane tanks until I pay my bill. It’s hard to reasonably argue when they have the upper hand and do not stand by their work.I would not recommend doing business with their install and service teams, specifically Wayne the supervisor who was less than helpful.

I recently had a large chunk (about 25 feet) of sewage pipe replaced in the basement floor of an old Halifax home. The crew (Dennis and Chris) did a fabulous job. They were fast, well-organized, and extremely efficient. They explained the process clearly, and cleaned up after the job. Very impressive! I can recommend their work enthusiastically.

So far with the experience over the 6 months we have had our heat pump installed we have had wilsons out 3 times for service. First was an electrical problem when the heat pump was being installed which was resolved by getting another contractor in to repair the problem. Second was a blown fuse a few months later whish was found to be the wrong amperage fuse installed from the beginning. Lastly we are still waiting for a blower motor for our furnace which we were not aware of during the install is apparently not strong enough. This caused the heat pump not to run somehow so now it's another 10000 dollars for a repair that I can't get in touch with anyone to tell me for sure if this will fix the problem. Great sales people but poor service.

Furnace stopped working at 11pm on a Saturday night. I called the 24-7 number. Answer in within 2 minutes. They confirmed the information. Tech called back within 10 minutes. Simple walk through on resetting the furnace. Hot water again. Top marks to all involved

We've been with Wilson's now for over 10 years. They continue to give good service year after year. We have our annual furnace cleaning and maintenance each year and we are always pleased. Our most recent one was done by technician James. He is friendly, prompt and efficient. He answered all my questions in an easy to understand" way. The area around the furnace was super clean when he left. His good energy shows he really enjoys his job. Thank you."

Had my furnace cleaned by James. Very polite. The impressive part was his candid advice to me in regards to water heaters and heat pumps. Even though it may not benefit Wilson's directly, it does. Shows that he cares about the clients. Great employee to have.I also had an electric water heater installed by Tim and his team. Great Job. There were issues, but they got it done and at the price quoted.
