Curious Comics

This store is awesome, and it's my son's favourite place. The guys working there are always super friendly and helpful. They've been engaging with my 8yr old son about pokemon and treat him like a peer, which is very cool. We go about once a week or so and there are always new items in store.

Clean, bright, environment. Great stock. A little spendy.

Was there today to do some shopping for a kid's birthday. As always, staff was very helpful and kind. While the store and staff are great, what blew my mind was what another customer did for my daughter. At some point she was looking at very junior Star Wars book. Ones that were suitable for readers much younger than her. I explained that to her and moved on. We had left the comic store and were outside figuring what to do next. All of a sudden a complete stranger walks up to my daughter and gives her a Star Wars book that was perfectly age appropriate. She didn't stop to chat, just handed over the book and was gone. I then got to explain to my kids what random acts of kindness were and how they can absolutely make your day. We talked about paying it forward and of course went inside, explained what happened to the staff at Curious Comics. They knew who we were talking about and just said they weren't surprised because the person who had purchased the book was so nice. Anyway, thank you wonderful stranger, you made a difference in our lives today. What a great day and what a great community.

I’ve always purchased my comics from Curious Comics as I feel it is important to support local businesses, but the rude and condescending services I received from one of the staff members has made the choice to close my account and make my purchases elsewhere an easy one.I sincerely hope the management realize how uncomfortable this employee has made me feel as a woman. Its this sort of behaviour that makes women feel excluded and unwanted in these establishments.Thankfully there are great stores such as Cherry Bomb Toys, Yellowjacket, Gauntlet Games and The Boardgame Cafe that are able to make their customer base feel wanted and welcome regardless of gender or product knowledge.

A great selection for those who like comics! They also have a nice manga selection.

Setting the bar for wicked service and knowledgable staff. Picking up the pieces after losing their Langford store to fire and water damage. Shop local!!

Store has some cool items. Today was my birthday and I thought I’d treat myself, but didn’t in the end as I found the staff were not friendly and I noticed I was checked on as if I was a suspicious individual. Thought I’d rather save my money then. Spend somewhere else.

I wish I could've stayed here longer. Friendly, knowledgable staff. Great selection too.

What they lack in stock availability, they make up by taking hold orders in advance and keeping patrons informed about back orders, etc.
