Tom is great! Very knowledgeable & experienced, great service, educated me on my basement issues and saved me $$ & time on chasing down the wrong fixes for a leaking egress. Forget some of these other guys in the area. out of 6 people in the St Clair county area I called, 3 were no shows, 2 were late and gave me quotes on fixes that even I knew were not really related to the cause of the problem. Tom, Rene and Debbie were great and helped me replace a foundation wall / waterproof my basement. They were extremely busy with other work and still were very efficient in quoting, setting up time to do the work and finishing the job. Very fair pricing as well compared to other reputable companies and communicated through whole process.

After receiving proposals from four contractors, it was clear that Tom's was the right choice. They are highly recommended by people I respect, have a long history of satisfied customers, and a warranty that I doubt I'll ever need.The problem was a foundation that had settled. Doors weren't closing and cracks had appeared in the ceiling.I did my research.Helical piers were what I needed.Nationally advertised contractors wanted to install more than were necessary, and had additional charges if they had to drill too far to hit substrate.Smaller competitors didn't have the 25 year warranty, had not been in business for very long, or had changed names, (cancelling their previous warranties)Tom came in and explained what needed to be done. His price was comparable to the others. He explained why I needed the number of piers he proposed.A week before they started my project, someone from his office called to confirm.Same thing the day before. Start time was confirmed, and his crew arrived on time.Throughout the process, Tom's employees were respectful and professional.The work was completed in a timely manner, and everything was cleaned up before they left.I would strongly recommend Tom's for any foundation work you may need.

Best thing about Tom's is you can trust them. No worrying! Plus they are the one place that does EVERYTHING related to your leak including replacing your concrete driveway and “piering” your basement walls. If there is anything extra you need, just ask, they’ll do it.Price: All companies were about $200 per footProcess: Tom's included back filling with stone/gravel all 8 feet rather than 12 inches + your dug out dirt. This is important because not only does that ensure superb draining but also ensures there won't be any settling.Work ethic: These guys busted their collective butt’s. A team of 8-10 including the owner who was on site both daysQuality: a 10 on a scale of 1-10. Very respectful of your propertyDifferentiators: They spent a lot of time on the driveway ensuring proper draining angles. Spent so much time finishing to a flawless surface. They used extra rebar, ½” rebars crisscrossed on top of wire rebar mats.Personalities: Very strong and hard workers who would stop to answer all questions. This has got to be the most honest company I have ever dealt with. We had a water coming in one corner in our basement. We didn’t know we had an existing system already in place in that area , because basement is finished. Tom’s was the only company that pointed this out to us and did not try to sell us a brand new system. They charged us under $500.00, problem is fixed. Saved us thousands of dollars. The company that always advertises on tv, was going to charge us over $11,000.00. We even got a thank you note from Tom a week later. I would highly recommend this company! Just to update, we have had “0” water in our basement! What a relief, basement getting back in order where we can enjoy being in it again!

I would like to say thank you to Tom's Basement Waterproofing for a job well done. My wife and I had a structural engineer come up with engineered plans to fix our foundation wall (10 vertical steel I-beams to stop basement wall from moving inward / two cracks injected to stay dry). I then had multiple foundation repair companies give us a quote for the repair. Tom's company was the only one who advised that he and his crew could complete the repair to the exact specs of the engineered plans. Other companies wanted to modify the plans. Tom's quote was also the best we had received. His crew did a great job with the repair. They were professional and cleaned up as if they were never here! I highly recommend Tom's Basement Waterproofing. I will not hesitate to contact them for any future repairs if need be. Thanks again to Tom and his crew!!!

Repaired my leak in my basement about 10 years ago and still dry with no leaks. Thank you for an excellent job, you are the best of the best in south east Michigan.

I recently had home buyers perform an inspection on my home before purchasing. The inspector found some cracks in my basement walls and informed my prospective buyers that my foundation was compromised. I gave Tom a call for an expert opinion and he reassured me that there was no need for panic and my basement was in good shape, only in need of some minor maintenance!! He even went the extra step of offering to talk to my buyers and reassure them! I can't thank him enough for giving me piece of mind and providing a reliable, professional analysis. I can now sell my home knowing it is structurally sound!!

We sold our home and four days before closing I went back to the house on a Saturday to check things out a noticed a small area of carpet that was wet. I cut open the wall and found a crack in the basement wall. I called Tom's and told them about the closing and was told the crew had just left for the day and had a large job first thing Monday morning but would see what she could do. Sunday morning Tom's Basement called to tell they would have someone at the house at 8:00 Monday morning. The crew was there by 7:30 A.M. along with the owner. He wanted to be sure there wasn't anything out of the ordinary. Less then two hours later they were done with the job and I was able to replace the drywall and paint before closing. They also transferred the warranty over to the new owners. It doesn't get better then that. The two man crew were professional and experienced. They will be highly recommended by me. In the past 10 years I have had dealings with Tom's Waterproofing 3 different times at 2 different locations. After my first experience with Tom's, I determined this would be my go-to company if I ever needed waterproofing work in the future. Well, two more jobs with the latest being in January 2021 and I can only say these people are GREAT.
