Mark's General Contracting

We have hired Mark over a number of years to perform both general maintenance as well as some important renovations for our house in Hamilton, ON. He has always done a thorough job in many areas such as: roof repairs, vinyl tile installation, kitchen improvements, plaster wall replacement, plumbing and electrical work. He has great attention to detail. We feel that Mark could take on any housing project that may be required.

Hired Mark to build us a brand new (from scratch) laundry room out of a closet in our recently purchased home. From the start before we even drew up the official contract Mark was amazing, he had a vision of how he could make this a reality and everything we asked of him he took into consideration while giving us plenty of options on how he could achieve the plan and tons of flexibility as far as plans changing and how specific we wanted to be about the design and overall finish of the room. He worked with us on price and was fair, as well as being very quick to buy the right parts that were needed for the job and he always knew what the next step of the process was going to be. He showed up when we called him and was responsive otherwise to our questions over the phone. He worked efficiently and he worked within our timeline as well making it a smooth process for us with minimal stress. I highly recommend using this company if you wish to do an at home repair or rebuild including plumbing or electrical or even structural repairs. This is the man for the job. I hired Mark this past summer to finish my basement. I was very pleased with his workmanship and his ability to problem solve. I hired Mark last November to install laminate flooring. Mark recommended that I could save money on the installation by re-using the carpet under padding, which given he is the expert, I took his advise, but HORRIBLE advise!!! The floors have been lifting and I've been trying since November to get him back to fix his mistake. He provides you with a 3 year warranty on his craftsmanship, yet doesn't follow through to fix his mistake. I keep getting excuses on why he can't come and fix it and even tried to pass the problem off as quality of the product. Because he's not coming to fix his mistake and to prevent any further damage, I'm having to hire another company to fix his mistake which is costing me more money! See you in small claims court Mark!
