Incredible place, another bjj home. Great instructor who breaks it down in a way that is extremely simple to understand. Has added many wrinkles and dimensions to my overall game. Focuses not just on techniques and skills but also mindset. Big emphasis on chaining of techniques and the gym is almost 50/50 men and women (id say 60/40 pending some registrations coming after summer). Come check us out, you wont regret it. Super welcoming to all levels, ages and genders.

I’m very privileged to have stumbled upon this dojo. Every single member, makes you feel like you a part of a family! The members and Professor are very knowledgeable and patient as well. Clean facility and small classes, definitely worth trying out if you’re on the fence. I’m grateful to have this opportunity!

This is an absolutely amazing gym and such a welcoming team. The class sizes are very small which means you get a lot of attention from the Professor. Incredibly clean and a much higher percent of women than most other gyms. And I love that there was no pressure to sign up at all

Highly recommend this Jiu Jitsu gym! Whether you are a complete beginner looking to get fit and learn self-defence, or want to compete, Elemental Jiu Jitsu has it all. Professor Jason is very respectful and he teaches the class in such an engaging way where regardless of prior knowledge everyone can understand. Also the other members are friendly and welcoming.

This is a great gym for both beginners and those with experience looking for a new place to train. The class sizes are kept small which lets everyone get real hands-on learning. This gym also has the highest female to male ratio I’ve seen at any gym. If you’re in Durham Region I cannot recommend Elemental Jiu-Jitsu enough. Friendly team and everyone is there to learn and get or stay in great shape.

Great gym either for beginners or more advanced students interested in learning or improving their skills in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Very welcoming and friendly environment. I have been to a couple of other gyms before but at Elemental Jiu Jitsu I have been having the best experience and learning the most.

This is a great gym for anyone who is looking to get fit, learn a skill, and have fun while doing so. Professor Jason is a great instructor, he is patient and knowledgeable. He and the rest of the crew have made me feel like family from day one and I am very grateful to be a part of this gym.

I just started training at this gym and I am loving it. The atmosphere is the main reason that keeps me coming back. Although I am new to it, the team was extremely welcoming and they are always so supportive. I always feel good after leaving a session. I would highly recommend this gym if you are looking for a friendly and encouraging environment.

I came to this gym with no experience and no knowledge of jiu jitsu. The atmosphere that Professor Jason creates is one that is welcoming and engaging. The class sizes are kept smaller so that Professor Jason can work with each of us on our strengths and opportunities.I feel lucky to be able to train under a skilled Professor and with a great group of people ranging in skill level and body types. I’m especially proud of how many females train at this gym! The team atmosphere is unmatched, come check Elemental Jiu Jitsu out.

After moving to ajax last year I found Elemental jiu jitsu and instantly felt welcomed not only by professor Jason but by the whole team. If you are new to Jiu jitsu, currently train or looking to come back after some time away you will absolutely enjoy the journey. At one point I was the only female but we are now almost 50/50 with guys ands gals so all are welcome to come out and try it for yourself.
