South Island Mechanical has been providing services and maintenance to my heat pump since 2019 and I am very satisfied with their expertise and great customer service. My heat pump had some major issues recently and had several repairs. The technicians (Gary, Shawn) were very efficient in identifying the problem and exploring solutions. They communicated with me very well too. The reception and the finance team were incredible with helping with my account as well. Overall I’m very happy with all the experience I have had with them and will keep working with them for sure.

Hands down, the best service I have ever had for my heating system. Several other companies tried and failed to get our system going but the techs had everything up and running perfectly first try!Amazing customer service, excellent technical advice and super very professional.

On Sep.24 2021, I hired South Island Mechanical to perform maintenance on two heat pumps at my home. I paid a total of $597.45 for the service, which covered a one-year labor warranty. However, in February 2022, one of the heat pumps stopped working.When South Island Mechanical sent a technician to diagnose the issue, he was not familiar with the brand and model of the heat pump and took over two and half hours to figure out the problem. The technician then presented me with a bill for $392.70 for his time. I felt that this was unreasonable, as I felt like I was essentially paying for the technician to learn how to work on my heat pump.I subsequently hired another company to check and fix the heat pump. The technician from this company was able to diagnose in less than 10 minutes, at a cost of $110 for the check-up and $6276 for parts and labor. South Island Mechanical had previously quoted me $7933.95 to fix the heat pump, in addition to the $392.70 check-up fee.I am extremely dissatisfied with the poor service and high costs I have encountered with South Island Mechanical. I believe that I was overcharged and that the company did not live up to the terms of the one-year labor warranty that I paid for maintenance.

I am an old customer of Triple C. When I called to request maintenance of my Lennox Thermostat, they don't have my records. I requested a new service. The service staff is very slow to reply. I had to call a few times and emailed them with some pictures of my thermostat. I called back two days later after I emailed them since I didn't receive any call back. The service gave me a very expensive quote for replacing my thermostat. The quote compared to a quote I got from the other company is about at least $400 more. My experience with the service is not good.

Adam went beyond to help me when my water tank expired. We had set an appointment for mid month to install a tankless water heater but my existing one gave out before then. He had a new one in the next day. He did a great job - professional team. I would highly recommend them.

I had South Island Mechanical complete the installation of a ductless split heat pump at my home. They were quick to contact me and arrange the service.The crew were efficient and performed a clean and professional installation of the piping, electrical, etc.Very satisfied overall with South Island Mechanical.

Our geothermal system was not functioning properly.These guys figured out the issues right away and even discovered a problem with a breaker in our fuse panel and fixed that up too!They are reliable, courteous and very knowledgeable. They took time to explain the geothermal system and the proper way to set up our thermostat to operate it.Thank you Jake and thank you Adam for the great service and great results -- our hydro bill is back to normal!!Definitely recommend this company!

I wanted to give a big shout out to Adam and his team! I rarely do reviews and I’m certainly one of those customers with a ton of questions who insists on good service for my money. SIM did a hot water tank replacement in my condo. It was a bit of a challenge as my heat pump pipes are in the way and it required they lift the HW tank up and over piping. The price etc for that job was reasonable and they did a good job getting it in the tight space. Several weeks later I noticed a strange humming noise and noticed the HW tank was resting against the heat pump piping. Their technician (Danny) was out doing my regular maintenance and I requested they investigate the humming. He thought he got the tank away from the piping and the problem was solved….but it wasn’t! I thought I had no chance of resolving the issue since most service companies would dismiss anything after giving it “best effort”. Not so with these guys. After a discussion with Adam, a second service call was scheduled and this time they sent Adam, one of his foremen and even called in someone to do some custom work on the drip pan. They uninstalled the tank, repositioned the now custom drip pan, re-secured my heat pump piping, reinstalled the HW tank and showed EXTREME patience at figuring out the issues all with both professional skill and curtesy. Many thanks to all the staff at SIM. These guys are my “go to” for both maintenance and troubleshooting.

Great company to deal with! They showed up on time as promised, diagnosed the issue with our heat pump quickly, and went and got the replacement part as the unit was up and running in no time. The technician was friendly and courteous and experienced. I would not hesitate in recommending this company to anyone. The customer Service Admin was excellent too!

From start (including rebate explanation) to finish, South Island Mechanical made the selection and installation of our new heat pump an easy and enjoyable experience. Love that they are local and unionized. Frankly, we're thrilled!
