Chatters Hair Salon

I visited the Chatters in Woodgrove Centre today. After about 5 minutes of wandering around I was asked if I needed help. I told the clerk what I wanted and they had no idea what I was talking about.... this is a common brand that they carry. Then another clerk came over and she showed me the brand but not the products I was looking for. No other products were suggested or recommended and they walked away. Perhaps they couldn't be bothered with a mature woman or maybe they just treat everyone like this? I will not be back.

**edit** It is not always the experience that makes you go back, but how they handle the issue. Chatters reached out to me in a very compassionate way. They made me feel heard. I will return and try again. Kudos to the Chatters head office team.Had an early afternoon appointment with Jess F on April 30th. I was having scheduling issues with my regular hairdresser and really needed a good trim off my shoulder blade length hair. Was looking for a new stylist that better fits my schedule. It seems JF is here for a job, not a career. I felt rushed and unimportant. I explained I was currently in a very stressful situation, she didn't seem to care. She did not interact with me unless I asked her questions about her life. She washed my hair, but did not use conditioner while I was at the sink. Did she use leave in later? I wonder if she was proud of the cut she gave me. If I could describe my visit? Wham, bam, give me your money ma'am. I don't know why I gave a 15% tip, but I did. Would I use her again? No. Would I visit Chatters again? More than likely not, but you never know. A hair stylist is a feeling, I didn't get a good one this time. The place was clean and booking is easy. Lots of hair care products to purchase, but I did not get asked if I needed any. Odd for a place that has such a huge selection with an opportunity to upsell. I think she just wanted to be finished. Oh well, it is what it is. I got my hair cut.

rebecca did a wash, cut, curl and the only thing she did good was a wash. gave me super choppy layers, didn’t take any time or effort into actually cutting. as you can see she didn’t blend the layers or thin the ends at all. she held the blow dryer in one spot for so long i think i could smell my scalp melting, and burnt my ear. her curls would’ve been good if she actually brushed them out and didn’t just drench the curls in hairspray. when she hairsprayed the front pieces she didn’t protect my face and sprayed it right in my eye and all over my face. called and they rebooked me for free with JAY who is amazing and is much more professional. the situation was properly addressed however rebecca is a very lazy stylist and she should not be trusted with hair.

Managed to get an appointment fairly quickly. Service was wonderful,Friendly, greetings you and helping customers. Price point was right, and was happy with my service. (Hair cut, shampoo wash and style )

First off we arrived at the salon for my son's appointment only to be told it had been changed to 30 minutes later by the stylist. I assume she was running late, but it would have been nice to have at least been informed of this prior to our arrival. The stylist was awful. Perhaps she was having a bad day, but it felt like we were causing her an inconvenience by being there. My 12 year old son had a picture that was similar to what he wanted done, and she did a cut that was absolutely nothing like what he wanted. It was simply awful and uneven at the back and we had to go elsewhere to get it fixed. Very poor service by the stylist, and as a result I will never go back there again. I gave this salon two stars because the person working the front counter was very friendly and apologetic about the sudden time change. He's an asset to Chatters. If it weren't for him, I would have given this salon a 1 star review.

If you have long hair I would not recommend coming here,I went in with long hair and left with just below shoulder length hair. Also I was never offered a shampoo or a style I had no idea this was even included.(i was offered for my hair to be straightened....my hair is already straight..)When I did find out I should of been offered a shampoo and style laterwhen I checked online, I called in and was just offered $10 off my next hair appointment and that I should of been told.....I would never recommend Anybody coming here for a haircut.The only up side was that my hair dresser was nice and interesting to talk to...

This place has always been my go-to reasonably priced haircut salon. I don't think I'd go here for complicated color jobs, but they do a fine job with the cuts and so I can't complain!It's hit and miss with the stylists, whenever you find one you reeeaaaaallllly like, you find out that they've moved on. Overall though they've been really pleasant and nice, $40 haircuts & style, sometimes they have Olaplex treatments on sale. You can't really go wrong here and I'll keep coming here forever.Update 2023: they still do a great job, haircuts have gone up to $60 now.

Way overpriced for a 13 year old girls trim. Not even an inch was taken off and they charged $60+
