Caledonia Fairgrounds

Great fun at the Caledonia fair every year. Parking was easy to find. Good food as well!

The Caledonia fairgrounds. Owned and operated by the Caledonia horticulture society. The grounds are a large fenced in property, roughly 1k in diameter, loosely open to the local public; but the land and building are there to be rented for events. The property is very well maintained, always clean and the main arena is powered by a roof of solar panels.Known mostly for Caledonia fair, that happens every year, for a weekend in September. The grounds themselves are also host to several dog shows, car shows, rodeo, swap meets, large charity events,garden shows, as well as camp grounds for RV touring groups. There is a large, old arena that is also used for stag and doe's, parties, dances, weddings,local elections,and Roller Derby.The local lions club is on the property, small building, closest to the entrance. There are also a few small show barns, that are kept closed until the fair.There are no garbage cans available while no events are happening, because the property is technically not open to the public.So please, take with you what you bring in. Pick up after your dog. Be an adult, and carry the poop bag all the way home.PROTIP:Perfect area to spot heron. There are at least 2 that nest along the river here every year.The bald eagle has been seen here. I've seen it twice.Small ramp for launching a canoe.Popular fly fishing area.

Love going to dog shows had a great time , then went to all the garage sales out side the grounds the streets .thanks .

Beautiful grounds along the Grand River. Each year the hold a fair with lots to do and see.

Excellent outdoor ground on the river for various activities. Today's a dog show with 1,100 dogs.

The fair was so so cute. We are tourists so we got to experience their annual fair and that was very fun. Super dogs show, mini horses show, a parade, a circus man, cows, rabbits, and more. Tokens to get on the rides are purchasable in a few stands that were very packed with a long long line. Many food stands and some shopping stands for clothes and jewelry. It was very very cold and windy so we didn't stay for too long. The restrooms available in the center of the fairground were very clean. Nice picnic tables near the lake.

Great fair. DEMOLITION Derby was great. Lots of food and great rides.

Great time with the kids! So happy the town didn't ticket for parking on the side streets! They check for vaxs.All around nice fall fair for the family!!!
