Yuen Kenneth Dr

I have been a patient of Dr Yuen's for a short period of time. Although he does not engage in idle chit-chat, his knowledge and treatment appears very satisfactory. I was diagnosed with lupus approximately 30 + years ago.I recently had a very bad flare up of my symptoms where I was in a considerate amouny of debilitating pain. I called his office to let them know and assumed I would not get an appt for several days or weeks. The receptionist called me back within the hour and they squeezed me in the following day. I can't tell you how appreciative I am at the kvel of compassion and empathy they displayed. I'm very grateful .

I arrived at my appointment time to register only to be embarrassed by being told to go stand in the hallway or sit across from the elevators where physical distancing was challenging. I was wearing my mask and had sanitized thoroughly prior to entering. His receptionist was very rude and condescending from the moment she saw me. When I finally saw the doctor, he dismissed me saying I was wasting his time because I had seen a surgeon due to a cancellation in his scheduling. Be sure to talk fully with your referring doctor what exactly you are seeing Dr. Yuen for, as he doesn't read the referrals until pushed to. Finally, don’t dare show up with an expired health card due to pandemic interruptions. Despite the fact all driver's licenses and health cards are extended indefinitely according to government websites.

Dr Yuen is very competent and thorough. The only way he could improve would be to give patients more information during consults.

Very disappointed after being a patient for over 10 years missing one appointment he tells the pharmacy I'm not his patient anymore and won't renew any prescriptions until he gets his $50 for the missed appt you figure there should be some understanding or compassion.
