DO NOT BUY ONLINE!I ordered 4 items, 2 months later there was still no update or shipment. I called them and asked for a refund, and they said they don't do returns on online orders, only store credit. Excuse me? How is it a return if you never shipped those items? Funny enough the next day they shipped two of the 4 things I bought, with no word about the other two. Two weeks straight of calls, nobody picks up because I can only assume they flagged my number. I ended up making a dispute with my credit card to get my money back.These guys are a bunch of drop shipping crooks who hold onto your money for stuff they dont have in stock and will never get in stock. Their warehouse" in the US is probably non existent

Great experience. Super fast shipping to the US. Order fulfilled and shipped same day. Even though the product was a previously used and imported item, the condition was less than I was anticipating but I can’t complain for the price as the product was about $60 less than what it would have been in the US but would definitely order again without a doubt.I will say, I also submitted a product inquiry to make sure the items were in stock and confirmed that prior to ordering.

This was my third order. They had exactly what I wanted, Everything was reasonably priced. Everything was shipped quickly. What more do you want?P.S. The surplus item I ordered was in excellent condition.

Bought from them twice now. Their shipping times are amazing. Literally next day shipping and both packages arrived within two business days. The jackets I ordered were in pretty good condition despite being used. The parka has some holes in the bottom where the seams tore a bit but that’s to be expected as it’s used. No big deal and nothing a needle and some thread can’t fix. The other jacket was like brand new! Everything came as described. I’ll definitely be ordering from them again in the future.

Horrible business for giving refunds back.20 Apr - Purchased something online and immediately had to cancel it. I emailed the company to stop the order. Money was taken off my credit card.24 Apr,2 May,23 May,6 June, emails all sent to Hero inquiring about my refund. I still don't have my money back and interest is still accumulating on my credit card.I would never give this place my business.There are better places to get surplus or military type items from.

Good selection of stuff on the website but seems like most of it isn’t actually in stock. Says ships in 1-19 days. I made a order and got a store credit for most of the order due to availability. Used the store credit to buy stuff, sure enough a couple items weren’t in stock again. Took 3 months to receive them. Would be alot better if they put realistic lead times on the website and sent a email stating some stuff may be a while out. Otherwise good place to deal with.

Placed an order on Oct. 17th totalling $1100~. All items said in stock! Great! Some of these were gifts for XMAS, so I ordered early. I received confirmation of my order being received. I contacted them via email on Nov. 5 for an update and did not receive a response until Nov. 13 stating that the items were being shipped from a warehouse in the US (so not in stock?) and were being held up by customs… fast forward to nov 23 and I email them again for an update. The response was still stuck in customs (nothing I ordered is a fire arm or restricted)….. On Dec 7 I email again for an update and I get a generic response about how hard they are working to get my order to me (very generic response). Dec. 23 I again email them telling them to cancel my order and refund me, and wow they send me an email that a shipment has magically arrived and they will send it to me asap and I will receive an email with my shipping info! Dec 29 and still no updates. Very generic customer service, and considering I have placed previous orders that were not really small I am shocked. I heard they were not the greatest but the first experience I had with them was actually good. I have asked them to cancel this order twice and refund me but they ignore that. The email responses from them seem very copy and paste as well. As some of the items were intended as gifts I had to find other items somewhere else so essentially I am now buying some items twice. Not even a hint of caring about any of the inconvenience this is causing me or even any attempt of any form of good will gesture or anything to make it right and try and retain my business. I have had an order from Hong Kong get here faster with no customs issue.

First time placing an order here and will never again. It looked like a legit website and I like supporting small Canadian businesses so I thought I would give it a try.I placed my order on June 11 and it was “awaiting fulfillment” for a week. It looked like the items were in stock so I was a little concerned why it was taking so long. I thought I would cancel my order since it didn’t look it was processed. I sent an email and they responded quickly that they can’t cancel my order. I was starting to get a little worried at this point when I read the google reviews for this company.I received my order June 28 but one of the items was defective and missing two pieces. I emailed the company and it’s been 2 days with no response yet. It looks like I’m not alone in my bad experience so I will not be buying here again.

Ive made 2 orders from Hero Outdoors as a US customer, this review comes after the second.I ordered a used ICS mX5 pro model from their shop, it was shipped in two smaller boxes tapped together, no big deal that's a vibe we all know.Now, that being said. I think UPS may have damaged the gun in transit. As the boxes were pretty badly crushed on the sides and they have a bad habit of throwing boxes on my apartment front step. Which is a large slab of stone.Only semi auto works, and even then just barely, even with my fully charged 7.4 Lipo ( the only kind that will fit in the battery compartment ) it takes 2 pulls of the trigger to get a full cycle. Burst and full auto are dead even with a stronger lipo in a battery box.Now I can't assume Hero would sell a gun like that for over $300 USD. So I have to assume UPS and their actively striking workers handled it poorly.That said, it's a rare MP5 and I am going to try and repair it. 1 star for rare inventory. 1 star for putting an orange tip on it and still including the black one to get through US customs. 1 star for the very fast email rt.eplies. Lastly 2 stars for the fast order turn around time.Do not worry about ordering from Hero. You will get your stuff. It's just a matter of if UPS goes ape or not.

I put a lot of faith in this company, clearly too much.Folks at the field would overhear me talking about ordering from Hero Outdoors, and would quietly pull me aside to tell me their horror stories of horrendous customer service, lack of communication, incredibly long wait times for delivery and errors in the order.I would tell them I've bought three guns and a bunch of equipment from them and never had a problem."
