Designer Nails

I have been a customer here since their original opening inside portage place. All my daughters were given gift cards at Xmas and one lost hers. Having the certificate numbers and receipts they refused to offer any solutions. Just “nothing we can do”. I went as far as offering to leave my contact info in the event “someone else comes in and cashes the certificate”. Zero customer service.I was also present two weeks ago when a woman and her mother became very upset over the customer service they had received for their pedicures and made a scene in the salon.Although they do a good job, they have lost my business and that of my 4 daughters over a $75 gift card.

The staff and service are always exceptional here! I have been coming to this location for years and have never had a bad experience. The location is clean, atmosphere is quiet all the staff are wonderful. They always do an amazing job and are are always accommodating. Depending on what type of experience you are looking for, you can engage with them throughout or if you’re like me, get caught up in whatever movie they have playing. I get constant compliments on my nails every time and they are always my go to!

I love this nail salon! I’ve been going for almost a year now and get gel nails and pedicures. My nails always look really nice and last a long time. The place is very clean, professional and has lots of parking out front for easy access. They are always so busy with their regular clients because they are so good. Definitely recommend this place!

Horrible experience.I wanted to try somewhere new in Peterborough as it is closer to my house. I had the afternoon off and was excited to have some nail time . I am very simple and just get a gel manicure and gel pedicure without any artificial nails or tips.When I walked into the salon, it was very clean and quiet. The reception greeting was alright and she showed me the colours to pick from while I was waiting. I had my pedicure first and forgot my number for the colour so the nice lady brought the samples over for me to pick. My pedicure was great and no complaints.However, when I went over to have my manicure done, it was not a pleasant experience. The nail tech asked me what colour I wanted and I had completely forgot the two numbers and went back to check the colours ( she did not bring the samples to me). I went back to tell her and she had disappeared and so I waited for her to come back for at least 10 minutes. The gentlemen doing another lady's nail was nice enough to assure me she was coming back.When she eventually came back- I told her the two I wanted and then she tried to argue with me that one was not the colour I thought was silver. I told her if she thought I was wrong then she can bring the samples over and we can discuss it. Instead, she looked at my nails ( that are short since I bite them) and said while laughing at me So what shape? short?."I have never felt so upset at a nail salon. I did not speak throughout the rest of the time as I just wanted to leave.It was a horrible experience and can really ruin your day. The nail tech did not even acknowledge my leaving. The manicure was done fine except I can see a lot of colour on my skin where it was missed while touching up.I don't care so much about that as I do about the experience and atmosphere. I am there for a service and deserve to be treated with kindness and respect. I will not be going back but hopefully they can improve on their customer service."

Always a fantastic experience, I am very nervous of having my nails done as I have sensitive nails but they are always so gentle and I refuse to go anywhere else. Last night I was the last customer it was 6:30pm and even though I am sure they wished to go home after a long day, still very patient and my nails looked beautiful!

Recently, I had the pleasure of getting my nails done at Designer Nails Salon in Peterborough. I must say, they truly have outstanding service. The work they do is so professional and flawless, I couldn't be happier with the results. I would highly recommend their service to anyone looking for top-notch nail services. The salon itself is very clean and well-maintained, making for a relaxing and enjoyable experience.
