I have nothing but goo things to say about the Health care clinic on the second floor. From the receptionists to the doctors, it's a place filled with people that genuinely care. Dr. Dueck has gone above and beyond for my family and so have the staff, we are very thankful for them.

Their not all bad but I usually have a hard time with who ever answers the phones. I have a hard time explaining what I need and why I need it without getting interrupted because they think they know more then me because they work there. Nope not the case. When you try to say something about it they change the story completely on you. That I don’t agree with. I don’t like when doctors and nurses say they will do something but when you check up on it, they say something different and you find out they weren’t doing what they said they were. All I get is sorry well sorry doesn’t help me when I am suffering and my kids are too.

Never had an issue until now. This is not the first time I have had an issue with my doctor, it seems to me that when trying to get refills they always have an excuse to get you to make an appointment, . I suffer from anxiety unlike so many other things so recently this week I ended up having to get some more medication for my seizures and others on top of my anxiety. Didn’t know it was gonna be so difficult just to get my anxiety pill she then ignored my request from my refills because she told me and my husband that I hadn’t taken them in a while like she would know because she lives under the same roof as me? And then she proceeded to tell me that it has not been in my list for two years excuse me what have I been taking them for the last two years because last time I checked I’ve been taking them not trying to be rude but I didn’t have a problem with my old doctor and I seem to be having issues with my new doctor at this point I’m thinking of switching doctors that’s how bad this is getting and on top of that she has no clue of what she is doing !!

The doctors and some staff are, in general, incompetent and very ‘chummy’ among themselves. When they are unable to correctly deal with a health issue they label the patient as 1) drug addicted or 2) a hypochondriac or 3) mentally ill, and do so without a valid opinion from someone qualified to give one, i.e. a specialist or psychologist.When blood tests showed I was anemic it took 3 years for them to refer me to a specialist. In the meantime they kept ordering blood tests, sometimes as often as every two weeks but, since no treatment was given, it wasn’t to check for the effect of one.I last went there in May of this year (2022) and was seen by Dr. Helyer. I am anemic and have emphysema, COPD and interstitial lung disease. The latter causes scarring and is an autoimmune condition. My breathing is limited but sufficient. However, I occasionally have great difficulty breathing, possibly due to an AI flare up. The usual treatment is prednisone and an antibiotic. My visit to GCHC in May was due to breathing difficulty. I I was out of breath while resting and my nailbeds had turned purple. When I saw Dr. Helyer he spent all of the visit firstly looking through my file and questioning the the meds ordered by a lung specialist and secondly advocating for assisted suicide despite having request from me for that information. At the end of the visit I had to specifically ask for a prescription. He responded by listening to my chest for no more than 5 seconds and then writing the scrip.Most recently while talking to a Hamilton lung specialist to whom I was referred I was told my chart listed me as having mental illness. However, I have never seen anyone qualified to make that assessment nor have I ever felt the need to see a psychologist.The Guelph Community Health Centre should be considered a last resort place to seek medical help.

Takes 4months for one form for one special allowance form dont recommend this place for anyone. absolutely no sense of urgency , or care. a waste of time , to speak to a doctor u must wait 6 weeks to book an appointment. you clowns are full of yourselves.

Got myself a neat opiate addiction here with the help of my doctor. My counsellor won't return any of my calls despite being in need of her assistance. The receptionists are nice, so they've got that going for them.

Forcing individuals to wear a mask even though it is not mandated. Also very rude to parents who would prefer not to. Very disappointing to see companies harming children with the virtue signalling of masking.

I am stunned. I needed an appointment for my sister and mom. The receptionist was being incredibly difficult. She didn't explain why I needed different day appointments if they were both going to be there for the first appointment. When I explained my concern, she began with, I understand what you're saying but...

The doctors and counsellors are nice, but some of the receptionists are very rude. One receptionist was snappy about not being able to hear me over my mask. I also called to check what time my appointment was and the lady on the other end interrupted me two times and hung up quickly. I never used to have any issues here so it’s disheartening.

I just love the GCHC on Whyndam! The staff is so polite and knowledgeable. My Doctor Lori Hasulo takes the best care of me and keeps searching for answers till one is found. Excellent staff!! Thank you so much!
