Artistry by Jacquie - Ottawa Makeup Artist

Jacquie is fabulous! She did my makeup last September for a wedding i was in and listened to my ideas and made suggestions. She does such an amazing job, i will be using her for my own wedding. She offers bridal trials which i think is perfect, and will educate you on your skin needs.

Jacquie did my makeup for my wedding and she also did my bridesmaids. She is so good. She's excellent at highlighting your best features while keeping it natural and feminine (if that's what you like). I've also seen her do glam and dramatic and she does that equally as well. What I liked most was on the day of the wedding she didn't even second guess herself. She remembered exactly what she had done at our first makeup trial and just went at it. Also, I was distracted and talking and she was very patient with me....lol. The day of the wedding was quite hot and I was definitely sweating and my makeup didn't move an inch! It was incredible! Jacquie really is amazing.

Jacquie is a make-up fairy godmother! She is beyond talented, I knew I was in good hands and it could be the one part of my wedding day I wouldn’t be stressed about. I couldn’t imagine going to any other artist for any future event. She’s always on time, organized and a delight to deal with. My Mom and my bridesmaids looked stunning because of Jacquie. She’s the absolute best!

Jacquie did my makeup for my engagement photos and she did a really great job, even with my super dry skin. She's very easy to talk to, makes great suggestions and recommendations, and is very knowledgeable about makeup all around. She really takes the time to get to know you and your preferences and is very attentive to your comfort levels throughout the appointment. 100% would recommend her to anyone!

Jacquie is an absolute delight. She is pleasant, educated, and caring. She takes her time and provides a top-notch experience for each customer. I was lucky to have her do my makeup for my graduation ceremony, I received so many positive comments from friends and family about my makeup that day. She made me feel like a princess. Not only that, she sent me home with tips and tricks for skin care and how to maintain my skin at home. Would 10/10 recommend !

Jacquie is so amazing! I have had my make-up professionally done by her 3 times this year and every time I am amazed by the results! Jacquie does the best job and when she is finished you can't help but look in every mirror you pass. The first time she did my make-up, I had never had it done by a professional before and she made me feel completely comfortable and at ease with the situation. I have never felt more confident and beautiful than when I have had my make-up done by Jacquie. I would recommend her to anyone, whether its a natural look you want, or a full glam, she can do it all! I wish I could have my make-up done by her every day! I did a makeup lesson with Jacquie in order to learn how to apply makeup when it comes to my wedding day. We did day and evening looks, and she did a good job applying the makeup. She was amazing and took the time to show you the techniques. I agreed what other reviewers said about her personalities - easy to talk, offered suggestions and recommendations and listened to the customer. She was great to communicate through the emails and would follow up if you have any questions. I would recommend her to my friends and colleagues.

Jacquie is one of a kind! She is very knowledgeable and takes the time to inform and practice her art. She is always able to offer her clients with well informed insight and answer any questions they may have about skin care or certain products. Jacquie is always open to explore new areas in make up artistry but is keen to listen to the client and create looks that appeal to their needs for the occasion at hand. In the past, I have found many make up artists listen tentatively but will still create a look that appeals more to them then to their clientele. This is not the case with a Jacquie. I always leave feeling fabulous and happy with the outcome. I recommend Jacquie to anyone and everyone and have passed on her business information to a variety of people from friends to coworkers to my own mother. To summarize my review and opinion of Jacquie I will quote my wonderful grandmother, who upon seeing a photo of me after one of Jacquie's creations said: Wow that girl looks fabulous and like she knows how to have fun!" I met Jacquie when she was beauty captain at the Sephora located in Kingston, ON. She did such an amazing job and after that she was the only one i trusted to do my makeup. I would come in and just let her have her own creative masterpieces. Having her do my makeup so much, i learned techniques she used on my own by observation. Now i can do my makeup almost as good as she can. I would recommend Jacquie before anyone else.
