Stumbled across this restaurant a couple weeks ago and decided to try it out. SO GOOD! I forgot to take pictures of the other dishes but it was great.I didn't catch our waitress's name but she was so awesome. Will definitely be back

Finally came here! Been wanting to for a long time. We originally planned on going to Watari. The food here was really good! The server was nice and the atmosphere was lacking. Another Japanese restaurant playing Western pop music. :/Other then that it was a fun time but we quickly ran up the pill ordering more sushi.

My option was take out. The hostess/server was quick on my order. After making my order she trotted to the kitchen to deliver the rush-request BEFORE I MADE MY PAYMENT. This small but meaningful gesture displayed the importance of my satisfaction as a customer more than the urgency for the server to get payment for the order. Thank you for the trust and making me feel like the only customer in the room

If I could give a zero, I would, but unfortunate 1 star is the lowest on Google.I want to share my family terrible experience on Saturday. We've been to this place few times and few times ordered for a take out, so when I came in to place an order for a takeout, I didn't even think that I have to check my order when it was ready for me. So I left with what I was assuming two rolls and a fried tofu plate. When at home I opened the bag, there were two rolls and three very sad and not so fresh pieces of tofu, with no side veggies or rice. My daughter was so disappointed, because it used to be her favorite dish there.I paid $57 for two rolls and two small steam rice, and what I assumed was a tofu dish.Anyways, very disappointed! The worse, you cannot reach the place over the phone, seems like one person is serving the tables and the front desk. She was very unpatient and unfriendly, when I tried to figure out what tofu dish to take, since the menu changed, so did the dishes names. When paying by debit or credit for a take out, there are no options available if you don't want to leave any tips. Only 4 options of tips!!! So on top, I paid 10% tips without even eating at the place! To the business owner: if you are trying to cut the corners, your business will be losing clients. So the best solution for a food business: start with a great food and service quality and keep it up in order to grow and bloom your business. We will not be coming back to that place, unfortunately. Two years ago it was a great place, now it's a joke.To enyone reading my review, be careful when ordering for a take out...

I stopped by Washoku for lunch last summer, I could have sworn I had done a review, I guess I forgot to.I went with the Gyoza, salmon and avocado sushi and a chicken teriyaki. The Gyoza was deep fried which is not good, I’m guessing it’s a regional thing in Japan where some areas deep fry their Gyoza and don’t pan fry like I am used to.Deep fried Gyoza are not better, its worse, whatever war is being fought in Japan over Deep-frying VS Pan frying, its over, just pan fry it and move on.Also at $10 for 5 pieces of gyoza? Overpriced at $2 a gyoza. The Salmon and avocado sushi was nice, it was 6 pieces and I enjoyed it, $10, this seemed fair. The Chicken Teriyaki was $22 and not something id want to have again. The chicken was tasty, just the Hodge podge of vegetables and a side of rice weren’t anything special.Staff were friendly and the restaurant is nice.

staff: friendly, helpful with suggestions.service: quick service at taking orders and bringing out food. However felt rushed with them checking if we were ready to box up food while we were chatting.establishment: nice, small, cozy.food: great portions. Decent sushi.

Food: main courses didn't arrive at the table for 40 minutes. Their excuse was that they ran out of rice.I had ordered the katsu curry. By the time it came out, the curry had setted and you could actually see that layer on top. Rice was cold and clumpy. The katsu itself was thinner than a piece of paper.Service: I'm not sure what to rate this. My party was handed menus and we just sat there for 15 minutes with no one coming to check on us, no one to ask us for drinks. The amount of time that it took for the food to come out should speak for itself. Rice running out is an excuse for the kitchen's incompetence in their ability to run a kitchen. How do you get to running out of rice and not noticing?Atmosphere: pretty standard, nothing too special.
