She challenges you in the best way as you will see very quickly the progress in your learning. Maruyama Sensei is a really excellent and professional teacher, and one of the best in my opinion. Lessons consists of a mix of reading, listening, speaking and writing, so there are a lot of opportunities to develop all the areas that are essential to learning a language. I highly recommend learning Japanese from Maruyama Sensei as I really enjoyed learning from her and I have no regrets at all.

Yoko Sensei is an excellent teacher. The classes are fun and engaging with focus on daily life language. The lessons usually involve lots of speaking practice in small groups, so there is a lot of opportunity to practice speaking which is very important.

Yoko is an excellent Japanese teacher. I have been following her through Japanese level 1- 5. Her lecture is structured and adapts to students based on their Japanese level and needs. Her classes involve basic Japanese, grammar, daily life usage and speaking. She always encourages students to talk about current topic, anything relating to life and/or Japanese cultures. Highly recommended if you want to learn Japanese and Japanese culture.

Yoko-Sensei is a truly an incredible teacher. I have tried to learn Japanese in a variety of different ways, ranging from self-study to part-time studies at language school in Japan, and Yoko's classes were definitely the most effective and useful in practical application. Her explanations about grammar were easy to understand; moreover, she always makes sure to provide cultural context of the vocabulary, so that you can understand the nuances and implications of what each phrase means. On top of that, she's patient, kind, and has a great sense of humour - which makes class something to look forward to each week!My boyfriend and I were eager to learn as much as we could before departing on our trip to Japan, and I'm so grateful that we came across Yoko-sensei. Unlike other language teachers that I've had in the past, her lessons really stuck with me and gave me the confidence to use my Japanese when I came overseas. We felt so much more well-equipped, and I can't thank her enough!
