This is the WORST school I have attended ever! When you have an issue and you wanna see the president, they neither let you see him nor help you with your issue. I'm not sure what's the point of having him in the office. I made a mistake when I decided to move to this college. Staff is so rude and unprofessional( ghetto) even though I was very kind and respectful. Financial Aid is a whole different story, there are no actual Financial aid office what a shame, and they tell you to call one of different phone numbers; when you call a sleepy girl answer that she has no clue what Financial Aid is, she asks you to leave your phone number and name and they will call you back and they won't! Now I can't even keep attending classes here. I'm dropping all the classes and going to a better place! DON'T MAKE THE WORST MISTAKES BY CHOOSING THIS COLLEGE!

Lousy and unprofessional, even by community college standards. The few professors worth anything aren't worth dealing with the rest of them. The people giving this institution high ratings are likely very, very inexperienced with post-secondary education and think this is the standard. It's not. You, dear reader, deserve better than WCCCD will give you.I received my first failing grade *ever* because one of their professors is incompetent about running online courses, and then was churlishly rude in his response when I suggested a way to make everyone happy. Will the college do anything to help? Of course not. They've already gotten my money, and apparently don't realize that greed will cost them in the long run.Don't waste your time or your money here, because they very much do not care about providing a quality service. Take your tuition dollars elsewhere, and I'll take bitter pleasure in the knowledge that I helped some poor student avoid making the same mistake I did.

A great institution for higher education and certificate training programs. They've also just opened a new entrepreneurship center @ the downtown campus!

K. Covington of the Records department is extremely unprofessional and he displays a lack of regard for African American, female students. Black ppl, please consider other institutions outside of Wayne County that both value and assist their students.

Leaving 1 star for the one kind Dr/Professor who has genuinely cared for my friends well-being, otherwise I would give zero. My friend has been attending college in Ohio for several years on Pell grants, this year the classes he needed weren't open until 2025 so we looked into Michigan colleges. WCCCD had the classes open so we moved him from Ohio to Michigan and enrolled. From the start, there were issues, the students services office staff were nasty and yelling at students. Hesitantly, we continued enrollment but then had an issue with his Pell grant/Fafsa award, so we then attended the financial aid open house. The financial aid staff were very unhelpful and suggested we change the year, add the college as remedy but we had and, were waiting on the school to accept. After weeks of calls to the financial aid office and the deans office (since they do not return calls), we received an email that he did not qualify with no reason why. We immediately contacted the department of education and found he did in fact all qualify but the school was not accepting the grant. So the college has a student ready to learn, with a high GPA at that, with a grant to attend but they won't assist or accept his grant? You have to wonder what is going on at this school... the next complaint filed will be with the MCCA. How horrible not to assist a student on their education path...

DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL IF YOU OR YOUR KIDS WANT TO SUCCEED IN LIFE. Low budget faculty will not help you. They will throw classes at you that you don't need to fill thier pockets. There are better options.

I had great learning experiences at WCCCD! I am alumni as of 2015 with a science degree. I was admitted into WCCCD again last week and will attempt to obtain an applied science degree. And then a nursing license! What I appreciate most about this college is it's diversity! For instance, my philosophy teacher was a white man, my anthropology professor was an African Doctor, and my first English professor there was a Red Hat Society member who was an African American female. I value the culture of this college.

Ms. Harris in Accounts Receivable is the ONLY competent person I’ve encountered.
