Nice place. They are open to visit one weekend per year, and I really liked to visit it.

Halifax City Hall was built between 1887 and 1890. On the north face of the tower the clock is not working. This is because of the Halifax Explosion that happened on the ‎6th of December 1917; 9:04:35 am (‎AST‎)‎. You will see that the time of the clock remains the same and was never repaired in respect for remembering this tragic event and all who have been affected on this day.

Old-fashioned building with all its grandeur in downtown Halifax. Took a drive to the Citadel and then parked the car in downtown to walk through the streets... You can see few old buildings and the City Hall is one of the nicest ones...

Visiting Halifax and just realized there is no Uber here. Poor transportation and parking Recommendations are to not visit here if getting around without a vehicle is important to you. Stupid policy and behind other cities.

Halifax City Hall
Very appealing City Hall with a very iconic look in the core of Halifax. It was built between 1887-1890, hence is one of the oldest public buildings in Nova Scotia. There is a small tower with a clock featured.

This is the place where government HAPPENS in Halifax.... it's a bit shabby in spots, but this is to be expected of such an old, historic building. A vital, interesting part of the city's history: well worth visiting.

Halifax City Hall
Very old building that maintains a piece of history on the north side. The clock on the north side is stopped at the time the Halifax Explosion occurred back on December 6th 1917. Also the building is really beautiful and great for pictures
