Residence & Conference Centre - Oshawa

Staying at the South Village Residence was OK but be aware that, out of term, there are very limited catering facilities on site so you'll need to be prepared to walk/drive off site in the evenings to get a meal. Rooms are very basic; I had to ask for a towel for the shower and there were no hangers to hang up clothes. The is a microwave and sink in the rooms but no cutlery or crockery, so couldn't make use of them. On the upside, the staff were very friendly and helpful.

This is a fine place to stay if you're on a budget. The beds are a bit hard and there are no alarm clocks anywhere in the unit (and the staff will not do wake up calls); but I do like having the kitchenette and the two separate bedrooms. And the price is definitely lower than most anywhere else in the area - it's not bad for the cost.

I stayed in the apartment for 2 weeks. The apartment was simple, yet quite clean. The size of the room is sufficient, if you dont have to use it very much. There is one table, one chair, bed. The table has 2 drawers. Unfortunately, there is no hanger, thats a pity, coz I didnt have a place to hang my dresses, suits and coats. The bathroom was clean. The rooms are not cleaned. If you want to have the rubbish taken out, you have to place a dustbin in front of your rooms. If you want clean towels, there is a wardrobe in the corridor at the front desk, you can take the clean ones from over there. The parking should be available for the visitors. Overall, I can imagine stayed there again.

I have to say, it was the best place to stay for a sports team. The price was fantastic, the suites were large, the common areas were so convenient, and restaurants were close by. Our only disappointment was that the gym was only open from 10am-4pm which is when we were away. I will definitely tell others of our great experience at the RCC.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and service was impeccable. The lack of convenient access to hot beverages (coffee, tea) on the weekend was noted, as was the undercooked breakfast sausages in the dining hall.

Certainly worth the price! Clean, well presented dorm room. Maybe not the best of mattress, but better than we thought it would be!Will certainly book again.

We did not get any service to our rooms as we were there 2 days so it is not applicable, but the staff were very helpful in every way and the rooms were perfect

A great place to stay for sports teams!!Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. It is very basic, but for the price it was completely acceptable. A nice, clean, safe place to lay your head down.
