St Angela Merici Residence

Our family moved our mother into St Angela Merici Residence in October of 2022. Mom had previously been in another care home in Saskatoon, and from our experience, not meeting expectations. Families only want the very best for their loved ones that require 24hr care. St Angela Merici is a beautiful, warm & welcoming place. The staff and management are engaging, kind and so very helpful. The indoor atrium is uplifting in our cold SK winters, and the activities provided for the residents are entertaining and fun. The house Dr visits once a month and his reassuring care has improved our mothers well being and ours. Within the first two weeks at St Angela’s our mom had accepted personal care. The food served is wonderful and by Nov. 2 our mom had gained 2.2lbs. When we visit, her clothes, are not only changed, they are ironed! For us, as a family, the difference is vastly astounding. We very much enjoy visiting our mom, the other residents, and the staff there. St. Angela Merici absolutely raises the bar higher for the standard of personal care homes in Saskatoon.

Our family has so much gratitude for the kind, attentive, and professional personal care given to our mother, who has been at St. Angela's for nearly two years. Over my frequent visits I have observed how patient and supportive the caregivers are with all the residents. I am especially grateful for the regular and clear communication about my mother's care plan and the attention given to her intellectual and spiritual wellbeing in addition to body care.

St. Angela has given my 94-year-old mother the gift of a safe and happy home. And for me, peace of mind. The amazing St. Angela staff work together as a team, with boundless patience, empathy and love. Caregivers reap rewards in the reciprocal love bestowed on them by those they care for. All would agree, this is indeed a happy place for people to enjoy in their senior years.Every step of the way, family members are included in decision making. They are an integral part of the St. Angela family. Most importantly, our mom is content and happy! It's home!! We had to find more care for our mom quickly. Luckily a spot was available and Anne made things happen quickly and efficiently....we had no more stress or worry. The staff is beyond amazing! I see how they care for the residents in a respectful manner with a warm smile, kindness and compassion. Mom attends exercise classes, crafts, entertainment, has her hair done every two weeks, and so much more! The atrium is so bright and beautiful. It's our favorite place to play games or just sit and visit.Our family is highly impressed with the outstanding support, exceptional care and compassion St. Angela's provides. Our family is very pleased with Sr Angela Merici Residence for our Joan . She is a very sociable lady and loves to partake in all the activities that are offered the residents. I like the size of the facility and her own suite certainly has her personal touch.Everyone loves the atrium ! The staff are wonderful, they make each person feel unique and special .I rave about Sr Angela Merici all the time !

What a wonderful unique facility this is. St. Angela’s is a large residence with spacious individual suites and many different areas to enjoy. The huge Atrium is our favourite room with its skylights and so many plants.Every staff member makes a point of getting to know the residents personally to learn about their individual needs. They also take the time to get to know the resident’s families.It is very comforting to have Mom being cared for in such a respectful, compassionate and professional manner.

This personal care home is an amazing beautiful facility with a spacious groomed yard. The Residents actually have small suites, not just a room. The staff are efficient, respectful and very caring. The administration strives to deliver Resident directed care, as it is ''their'' home. Various social programs and activities are also provided for the community. Our 94 year old mother lived here for a year and a half during covid restrictions, which was an extremely difficult time for all. It was very reassuring to know she was being well taken care of. Our mother recently passed away and the palliative care she, and our whole family received during this time was exceptional and we will be forever grateful.

I am a student doing my practicum there and it's been an amazing experience. wonderful management and saff.they put the residence first in all their planning and always makes sure they are happy and comfortable.
