Absolutely fantastic! BBQ was great, lots for everyone, drinks were a little slow but having to drive 30 minutes, probably not a bad thing. Definitely want to try Mexican night.

We went on a Friday (Mexican night) and the food was amazing! We were so full at the end, you get alot of food from the appetizer, main dish and dessert. The owners are also so friendly and just lovely people. Would definitely go back.

A fixed menu that provided diverse and interesting courses. All the food was well prepared and well presented. The service s very friendly, very helpful, but should be improved. We waited a long time with dirty plates and no water, I balance that with it being a place to take time to enjoy your meal. They did a great job dealing with a food allergy, providing excellent options. I'll definitely go back.

The food here is consistently amazing! Authentic Mexican food with a touch of Oaxacan couisine.Set menu every Friday night usually including soup, main with multiple items and dessert. They can accommodate to any dietary restriccions at time of reservation.Tip: Make your reservations now as it's usually booked months in advance.

This place is the quintessential Mexican and BBQ restaurant. The owners put their heart and soul into this place and their cooking, and it truly reflects in the flavors and presentation. The food is simple, yet has levels of flavor, from salty to zesty. The drinks are delicious and make you feel like you're at a resort. The Grotto is worth the drive (it's not that long to be honest) and your palate will thank you. Bring your appetite, as the portions are quite generous. This place is great for a group or a romantic evening with your partner.

They are open two evenings a week by reservation only - Friday & Saturday night. $60/person. Friday is Mexican night and Saturday is southern bbq night. I personally wouldn’t go back for the bbq(which we had last night) but that’s only because my standards are so high after trying some of Texas’ finest bbq last year. I’ve never been for the Mexican night. About half of the platter was worth trying. The service is outstanding and the husband and wife are usually the only two working. Some of their drinks come in actual pineapples, coconuts or watermelons so that was cool. The ambiance was also really nice and it’s in a turn of the century building with lots of cool art and vintage decor.Things to note:Brisket and duck were outstanding. Great flavor and texture with a good amount of fat. 10/10- Cornbread was pretty good but could’ve been served warmer and with some butter. Same with the tortellini.- The chicken skin was so tough you needed pliers to rip it apart. Chicken itself was okay- Pork ribs were okay as well. The peach cobbler sauce was really good to dip the ribs and the sliced pineapple in- No one at our table liked the mushrooms. They were sautéed in a balsamic vinegar sauce which tasted very strange. 0/10- I’m not normally a fan of potato salad but this one I would have again- Greek salad was also good- Black beans w tortilla chips dipped in them were good but it would be a bright idea to add the tortilla chips right before you serve them rather than the day before. The portions of the tortilla chips that were dipped in the beans were soggy and had clearly been sitting there a while.- The chocolate brûlée(not pictured) was outstandingOverall I’d give it a 7/10. Great if you’ve never tried authentic southern bbq before. I won’t come back for bbq but will definitely come back & try the Mexican night. The owner also makes his own cheese and sells it at the restaurant

Food was the first authentic Mexican experience I've had in Saskatchewan. Historical house where nuns resided with lots of old pictures lining the walls. Service was average at best though.

The Grotto is a warm and inviting place. The owners and staff look after you very well.We went for the Friday Mexican night. There are no menu items to pick from it's a set menu. As you can see from the pictures the meals are big and absolutely delicious. Real authentic Mexican food. The owner Celia is from Hutueco orginally. The drinks are good and I loved the presentation of them being served in fruit. It's worth the drive to Vibank for this wonderful experience. Prices are a bit on the high side but for the experience and the amount of food you get it's all worth it and make sure you book way in advance there is a waiting list.
