Hanger 18 Tattoos

My review is a general overall from my experience for the 11 tattoos I’ve had done by Dave over a number of years. I’ve had my leg, both arms and my hand tattooed by Dave, always a great experience and awesome vibe from a cool and clean shop. I’ve never had issues with getting touch ups or tattoo quality, I would 100% recommend Dave from hanger 18 for his work, style, overall rad-ness.

Great experience! Dave is very well talented. I am very pleased with my sleeve and would recommend him to anyone looking to get beautiful art done.

Been going here for the last 7 or 8 years, gotten tattoos from Sean, Dave, and Leandra. I have always been thrilled with the outcome of my tattoos every time, I have also received tons of compliments from lots of other people over the years about how great they look. Not only do they do great work, they’re very caring, constantly checking in with you how you are doing and feeling during the session, offering water and asking if you need breaks. Best of all they make getting tattooed so much better when you see how much pride they take in their tattoos and make it a good time with great conversations you can’t stop laughing from.

My bestfriend and I had wanted to get tattoos that represent our friendship for a long time. The last time we were together we decided to act and call a few shops. This shop had some openings, perfect!We wanted to get eachothers zodiac constellations. They told us an apprentice would do one and another artist the other. We thought okay how hard could doing a few lines and circles be...not hard.When it was first done it looked great! I was so happy with it... and then it healed...I have tattoos and take the upmost care after to ensure they heal good and turn out how I expected, this one didn't turn out anything like I expected. The worst part of this experience was the fact I emailed the shop who said they would do something to remedy the situation, and they ghosted me when I emailed back!Next time you guys probably shouldn't let an apprentice tat if they're not ready. It felt like she was literally DIGGING into my neck.On the same note my friends didn't turn out great either. It appears the experienced artist also cannot do good lines.Would not recommend this shop to anyone.I wish I could upload photos...

5 stars and nothing less.My artist was Sean Strouse, I can attest to his professionalism as he is an amazing artist and an even better person. He answered every question I threw at him with detail and confidence, which is appreciated on my end as this was my first tattoo. He provided a great experience that I can guarantee you won’t get anywhere else. He commands excellence from himself and his coworkers and it shows through their work! From top to bottom, every individual of this shop greeted me with a smile and were all extremely nice. Their is not a single complaint I could think of, 5 stars. Bravo gentleman, keep up the good stuff!

I got this done in 2021 by Sean Strouse. He was very nice during the process. I honestly don't think this could be fixed because of how uneven the tattoo was in her face. Specially eyes and mouth. The hair is nice though. I'm also not happy that the border went over a mole which I noticed after the fact. On the border I have some blow out and dry healed as instructed.I'm giving this a 3 star for how nice everyone was but that doesn't really do much tattoo wise.

Sean is a great guy and an amazing veteran tattoo artist. I have got 3 tattoos from in the past, 1 being an exact portrait of my mom. That being said I recommend going to Sean.

Went with a friend to get matching tattoos, they came out horribly. The lines were rough and no where near the stencil. I contacted the owner saying we were disappointed. He was happy to help and find a resolution. We went three months of trying to find a day that works for him to fix them. Then he went Mia and wouldn’t answer messages. I gave him a couple weeks before writing a review to see if he’d just been busy. But nothing. Called the shop and they never got back to me as well.

I booked with Sean and he was incredible. Very professional, informative, and was very patient with me as I had a million questions since it was my first tattoo. His art style is incredible and he is very talented at what he does. The shop is very very clean and you can tell they put great care into keeping their customers safe. My tattoo is healing perfectly and I can’t wait to go back for more work to be done.
