Black Birch Restaurant
Second time passing through the area and had to stop in as our first experience was amazing. The second time did not disappoint. The food is outstanding. You can't beat the quality and the price. The service was excellent and we were well taken care of. I highly recommend stopping in if you're in the area or even if you're not! It's worth the drive.

We had an amazing date night at this gem of a restaurant. There was live music on the Saturday night that created a great atmosphere. The staff were so friendly and generous and the food was fantastic! They said they change their menu based on what is available from the local farms nearby. We will be back next time we are in the area! Highly recommend.

6⭐️ kinda place. The food was magnificent without being overpriced or complicated. Everything down to the salad dressing was made from scratch. EVERYTHING we had was delicious. If I was local I would eat here every day without feeling guilty. The cherry on top was the beautiful view from our widow of the very cozy inside out to the snowy grounds with fresh snow coming down. It was dreamy.

Such a disappointing evening! I brought 8 women from our Dining Club to this restaurant having been here before thinking it a great atmosphere for our ladies to enjoy. I ordered the Mussels Provencal and knew the moment the owner/server placed the food in front of me that they were not right. The smell of mussels was a horse manure smell and the taste of the two I tried tasted like what I would expect horse manure to taste like. With great reserve I let the owner know and described the issue to her as above. She said she didnt know what horsey meant and the mussels were brought in fresh that day. She was abrupt, non apologetic and made me feel foolish. My friend beside me said she smelled them also as soon as brought to table. My friend agreeing with me and saying so to owner seemed to prompt owner to ask if I would like something else and the pork would take too long (?). Again she said mussels were fresh that day.I said brie platter would be fine expecting I couldn't go wrong with that. Yup, disappointing again....brie and toasted bread thin rounds. That's all. No compote or fruit or glaze or anything else. I did not finish but did not say anything. On paying bill she commented in a condescending manner that perhaps they weren't cooked enough to my liking. No apology but took item off bill. Our service was slow and unfriendly. I felt treated poorly and certainly will not bring business to her again. Shame on you Black Birch owner, not because of food but because of your unkind attitude.

Have eaten here a few times now and is becoming a favourite place to go. Great location.The food is spectacular and have never had food served so hot! Especially the soup. Love the atmosphere and the service is great.

It’s a local restaurant in Hockley valley. Nice lady to serve. Salmon wasn’t well cooked and chicken doesn’t have taste of pesto. Steak and pasta are good. Price is reasonable. Clean location and cozy, interesting interior design.

Just an amazing little nook. Great prices, great food and atmosphere is cozy rosy.Independent owned.Had their mussels,burgers, fish and chips and lamb shank. All delicious.Will definitely be back!

From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was really inviting. The lighting was perfect – not too bright and not too dim, and the music wasn't too loud either.When it comes to food, this place definitely didn't disappoint. I tried their signature dish and it was the best thing I've ever had! The flavors and textures were on point. And the portion size was perfect – not too much and not too little.But what really made the experience special was the service. The staff were all so friendly and attentive. They made sure everything was perfect and even gave us some recommendations when we were struggling to decide what to order.Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience. The food, atmosphere, and service were all top-notch. And I haven't even mentioned the price yet – it's really affordable! So, go check it out and let me know what you think!

Black Birch Restaurant
This place has incredible gourmet food at a good restaurant rate. The waiters are lively, knowledgeable, and wonderful company and the chef is very accommodating. The garden outside in the summer is lovely, sit there if you can but indoors also has a lovely ambience. Reserve ahead of time because locals know how great this spot is. Highly recommend going for a walk on the Bruce trail across the road and then going here for diner.

Cozy little place with a with a wonderful staff and seating. Diverse menu with. 3 course tasting menu. Chicken and vegetable soup smelled amazing and tasted even better. The lamb shank was so tender and fall off the bone. Dessert cakes were amazing. So much flavour. Not sure if it's made in house but either way, it was great. Will definitely go back.
