Barb's Fish & Chips
We visit Barb's when we are in Victoria. Unfortunately, the food is not what it used to be. Thers are now much better seafood places to try. Next visit to the wharf I will try another of the restaurants, but will skip Barb's.

My rating will be low, because the foods were not served timely and our pager wasn't assigned properly. The servers saw the foods on counter but never tried to call out to confirm. I approached the staffs, and they finally realized the error. The staffs cannot served us what is available (same order from other customers) but decided to reline us up. My family and I kept watching other people keep getting their foods and we were upset.In addition, I was told the server placed a different fish when they check the missed foods. I have no clue what was served after. Honestly, I also wondered if the foods were just reheat or really new batch. We didn't make a scene, we just feel helpless and hangry". One staff feel so bad for us

This place came highly recommended by our tour bus driver so we gave it a shot. It did not disappoint! Great service and great food! We of course got the fish & chips. 10-out-of-10 on the fish! Mention was not made of the seafood chowder, but it should have been because that stuff was delicious! We will find this place again the next time we visit Victoria.

Fantastic fish and chips; fresh and hot! The batter was crispy and thin, as it should be. We went in the early evening, and the line up was short and moved quickly. The service was friendly and efficient. Great atmosphere on the wharf to have a great meal.

Did not have two of the three items I requested. No Prawn Skewers, No Oysters. Located at a wharf. How?Additional items ordered: Clams, fries, chowder. Although they had concerns of not having clams available and needed to double check. It's only 1500hrs. This concerns me that there is low/no stock on some items at this hour.The items we did get were delicious. Quick effective service.

I had a great early lunch at Barb's! I ordered the large portion fish&chips, it was very tasty. The dough was nice and crispy and fish nice and fluffy. Afterwards also hefty priced, but definitely worth it!

It's my second time here me and same excellent experience. I had the halibut fish and chips. Batter is light and crispy, just how I like it. Fries is amazing. Not sure if they make their own tar tar sauce, my guess is yes - it's good! The chowder comes in all sizes, really enjoyed that one as well. Also noticed that on both visit, this restaurant is the most busy of all the others. You always have to wait for a table to be vacant as it's that popular. All staff are efficient and friendly too!

Yummy fish and chips, we also really enjoyed the salmon. Kid's meals are available. The chowder was delicious, a great little spot by the water and we've been here multiple times over the years.

Barb's Fish & Chips
This fish and chips place is superb! I will always come by here for dinner whenever I'm in Victoria. Love the fish and chips, as well as their seafood chowder! Service was really fast too. The only issue is that it's always crowded and it might be hard to find seats. But it's still worth the wait!
