Gyneya and her staff are amazing to work with. We got married in June 2023 and we had the best wedding. Our guests raved about the food, the venue, and we couldn’t be happier we choose Lago to get married at.I would 100% recommend. You will not be disappointed.

We held our wedding at LAGO in the Vista Room this past weekend and cannot recommend this venue enough! We were absolutely thrilled with how everything went off - from the venue itself (perfect space, size, views), to the food, setup, help with decorations, pre-event communication....I could go on and on. They made it extremely easy for us to arrange everything ahead of time. We were super confident going into the day-of. Everything was perfectly setup when we arrived and the staff on the day of were a pleasure to work with. They really went above and beyond to make our special day just that. We are so appreciative!

Amazing staff and food! I have been to Lago several times to document my wedding clients and always have nothing but amazing things to say! One of the best wedding venues in the heart of Ottawa!

We got married in May 2019! I was just chatting with my husband about our wedding day and felt compelled to write a review. When I tell you that Gyneya and her team went above and beyond to ensure our wedding day went seamlessly, I truly mean it. From the first email to giving me a shot of tequila before walking down the aisle, we felt supported through all aspects of the wedding planning process. From the big details to the little details and everything in between, every email was answered timely, with attentiveness and care. The food was delicious! We got several compliments from our guests about the calibre of the food. We opted for open bar and did signature drinks! Highly recommend as well.We did our ceremony upstairs and our reception downstairs. I loved having both spaces as it provided a nice transition from one part of the day to the other. Anyway, I could go on and on. If you’re looking for a sign that this should be your wedding venue, this is it!

Hosted an event here, the staff went above and beyond to help out. They met or exceeded every accommodation we asked for and made recommendations to ensure everything went as best as possible! Would recommend this venue 20 times over, it’s fantastic!

I can’t say enough how amazing it was to have a wedding at Lago. Gyneya, Kailee, and Kim made my wedding perfect. They looked after all the fine details, and I was stress free on my wedding day. Each had their own unique part in the planing and execution of our wedding! The food was especially amazing, from the appetizers to desert! The chefs are very talented.

Lago has a few reception rooms for rentals and they offer bar services and catering depending on the options chosen.It shares the second floor with Mexicali’s.Parking is a total nightmare for this venue. It is great if you get a lift pick up and drop off but if you drive a car, the parking is a terrible. Best parking option is park at the south end of Little Italy; but it is a good minimum 400 meter distance of walk … further if you park far.Interior : was here at Vista room. It seems to accommodate 200 people , not a sit down reception. Nice open window panoramic view to the lake. But they locked up the doors so only emergency exit is the way you come into. Not sure how it would work during emergency and evacuation time.The engineer laminate floor was worn with many separation gaps in between as they tried to install the full length without adding recommended fixing support. So watch out your hills and footings to abound accidents and stuck.

We had our wedding here on the second floor (vista room) it was lovely. The staff were so friendly and Gyneya was excellent to work with planning and coordinating the day of. We had about 90 guests and were able to accommodate everyone well for a sit down meal. We barely decorated because the windows with the view was enough! The food was lovely and it was so nice to have the outdoor patio space for those who needed a break from music and dancing. We fully recommend Lago!

We had a very nice diner at Lago. The place was very quiet and we were seated by the window. The view was pretty good. Our server was very friendly & kind. The salad, french fries, slow-cooked ribs and cheesecake were all very delicious. I especially suggest the slow cooked ribs for the main. Overall, highly recommended!
