I joined The Barbell Academy in September 2020. I joined because I had run out of steam. The workout routine that I was doing was no longer working. I was skipping days, weeks, sometimes months at a time, and had no motivation to go to the gym anymore.I had heard great things about Mike @ The Barbell Academy, so I thought I would give it a try.I cannot tell you how much of a difference this has made in my life. I'm more motivated that I've ever been. I'm fitter than I've ever been. I'm more confident than I've ever been. The difference is incredible to me. I've never been overly athletic, but the great thing about The Barbell Academy is that you don't have to be. Mike and his coaches take the time and grow with you, so you're always reaching your potential, and staying motivated.Mike is the best coach I've ever had. He cares. He always checks-in with me and makes sure I'm feeling good and staying on track.If you're hesitating joining, don't! Start now, you'll be glad you did!

Barbell Academy is awesome! Great team atmosphere, friendly competitive nature, and excellent locally roasted coffee. Mike and team are very educated, compassionate, and hilarious. I would recommend the gym to any fitness level, beginner to intermediate to elite athlete! Everyone has something to learn or improve with the help of attentive coaching.

Amazing atmosphere. Very clean, equipment is in great condition and everyone is friendly. The Coaches are very thorough and attentive and actually seem interested in seeing the athletes progress toward their goals. The schedule is very robust with many opportunities from morning to night to get in for a good sweat session. This facility holds a variety of charitable events as well that are well planned and successful. Always happy to attend.Programming is flexible and offers a wide range of different movements and intensity levels.The coffee is great too! :-)

I have been a member of The Barbell Academy since June and I absolutely love it. I was new to crossfit when I joined and I have never felt uncomfortable or intimidated. The staff is friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. Mike is constantly pushing us to achieve our personal best.

I have been a member since the spring and I love barbell. They are knowledgeable and awesome people. Mike the head trainer and owner is dedicated to his members and is there every day from 5h30 am on. No exception. Not only they offer great training, towel service, and an amazing facility, but they have the best coffee in town! Drop in to see what the gym is all about or to get a cup of coffee. You will back, i can guaranty that!

This is the place where your health, fitness and confidence will shine. Mike is a caring, committed, knowledgeable coach. The small classes mean you get lots of individual attention, there are plenty of times throughout the day to get your sweat on. The programming is thoughtful and geared to make you stronger and better. The community that has been built around the gym and workouts is supportive and fun. The coffeeeeee is amazing and addictive! I look forward to my hour and The Barbell Academy and really miss it on the days I can’t go!

I’ve been going to gyms by myself for a long while now but nothing has felt quite like home like The Barbell Academy. Everyone from the coaches to fellow athletes are friendly and encouraging. It truly feels like one big family!I’ve noticed a huge boost in my confidence on how I approach working out and have learned so much from my time here. Classes cap at 10 so coaches are able to provide individual assistance as needed which is awesome. I look forward to coming to classes, tracking my progress and seeing my improvements!Couldn’t recommend The Barbell Academy enough for anyone looking to start or continue their fitness journey!
