Park Veterinary Centre

Took my two cats for annual check ups and they were awesome!!! Dr. R is so personable ! Everyone was so friendly from the front end Staff to the techs! It made everything so easy and efficient!

So annoyed! Cant comment on their actual animal services but their receptionists need some serious training on customer service! Rang up yesterday to reserve some salmon HA food, all good so far! Arrive at the clinic after driving more than 40km to pick it up, I wasn’t acknowledged when I walked in, so I just said hello and why I was there. . Silence? Am I speaking a different language! The other receptionist jumped in and said she would fetch it, brings it out, it’s vegetarian flavour? I asked for salmon? I’m now told “we don’t stock salmon” well that’s just great! I was offered no explanation, no apology even after I told her how far I’d driven specifically to pick this food up. Not happy at all, customer service zero!

I can’t say enough great things about my experience with Park Vet. My two guinea pigs received excellent and professional service at every appointment, including throughout the pandemic when extra precautions were required. I always felt comfortable handing off my fur babies to the excellent support staff. When one of my pigs needed to be taken in for an emergency, they tried their best to fit me in short notice and actually ended up finding a time to squeeze me in, although by that time I had already found a different vet centre to see her. I will not name the other vet/centre I went to that day but my guinea pig was not properly treated there for her foot issue and was roughly handled. I would not trust anyone with my guineas except Park Vet and, for emergencies Pulse Vet (on a side note, I believe Park recommends Pulse for emergencies when they can’t squeeze you in, and there is a fantastic exotic vet there as well that has experience with guinea pigs). Both of my guineas recently passed away, but they made it to a ripe old age thanks to the wonderful care provided by Park. I would like to especially thank Dr Marian Allison, who always provided excellent care, was gentle and loving with my girls, and always spent time going over the options for their care with me. I am truly thankful to have had them in her care.

We had an amazing experience with Amber! She’s so lovely and we were nervous about our sheepadoodles hair but she did an amazing job and we are so much happier with how healthier his coat looks. Amber is the best groomer he’s had! And Kiko loves Amber too he was so comfortable with her. We’ll be back here again.

2022 Update: Dr. Bousquet is now at Harvest Pointe Animal Hospital.We adore Dr. Teresa Bousquet. She's highly knowledgeable, experienced and has to be the leading authority on exotic veterinary care in Alberta - have you seen her credentials?! She's quirky, kind, informative, and caring. She's often booked weeks in advance, so it can be hard to get an appointment with her if you have an urgent case.Our bunny Theo has recieved exemplary care from her and this clinic and I refer all bunny friends here.Also Alec is always, always a pleasure to speak to over the phone. He's very kind and you can feel he genuinely enjoys his work.

I can't say enough about this place. My puppy hadn't been feeling well for a few days and they got her in for a checkup, gave me a few options for treatment, made sure she had food to support the treatment plan, and the vet came out and greeted me in the reception area to confirm I had no questions about administering the medication or any other concerns. Park vet is a lengthy drive from home (25 min one way) but I will never go elsewhere. The care and compassion that they consistently show my fur babies .... you can't put a price on that.

Had to put our girl down today. I believe the vets name was Tara. She was extremely kind and so were the other staff assisting her. Thank you guys.

Park Vet Centre may be on the more pricey side but they are still my go to. Seems that lately they prefer to send you to pulse if an emergency. Before pulse they would take the time to see you pet. A shame really as i would prefer my pets emergencies be with doctors who have handled them in the past.
