Crawford Lake
A beautiful and scenic stroller friendly conservation area! Really liked the walk there and the drive from Burlington.

Crawford Lake
Our favourite conservation area, with something for everyone: native history with hands-on exhibits, trails for all levels, a beautiful walk around the lake, and during March, the Sweet Water (maple syrup) festival.

It was a surprise to see that they built a wooden boardwalk all around the lake. Also, there are a number of benches to stop over and rest.

Amazing views on the lake. Well maintained trails. Enough parking (probably because reservation requires). Managed only shortest trail for first time. :) Will come back next year to explore more.

Made a mind blowing discovery while visiting the Crawford Lake only 40 min away from Toronto. The native people living there built building size constructions and had advanced knowledge in science & architecture. On top of the amazing sight from the lake you'll have an opportunity to learn a lot from the Wendat People. It truly helped me deconstruct some of the misconceptions we could have through popular media and reminded me a lot about rediscovering the knowledge/culture from my own ancestors (Ewe people spread across Ghana/Togo/Benin/Nigeria ) a couple years ago. Long story short you'll have a blast both visually and intellectually if you have a chance to visit this one of a kind place.

It is a lovely hike around Crawford lake. There is ample parking space, lovely views to the lake, nice spots to sit on the bench and have a snack. The sculptures dotted around the trail act as nice pause point to admire the woodwork. I highly recommend going there!
