We stumbled upon the Madrona Gallery several year ago, and were delighted to get to know Michael. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and such a fantastic atmosphere in his gem of a gallery. We have since purchased 5 paintings from him (one of which he sourced for us at another gallery after letting him know that we dearly wanted it!), and I'm sure that there will be more in the future. I wish we could get out to Victoria more often, just to drop in, say hi, and see what is new.

Fantastic collection of art and knowledgeable staff. Their collections rotate often enough with some consistent favourites to keep it interesting. Prices can be as low as $700 from what I’ve seen. I’ve given them 5 because the service is fantastic. They have no problem discussing art with you and are very knowledgeable.This is an example of a piece I like by Morgana Wallace. Reasonably priced and I’ve never seen anything like it.

Sophisticated contemporary art gallery with a welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. Madrona Gallery features an ever changing repertoire of contemporary art from established and up-and-coming artists. You can also usually find a classic Canadian historical piece or two if you look carefully or chat with the friendly owners. I own an affordable and elegant water colour painting from a west coast artists I've admired for years. Great service and a variety of price points and styles. Always worth popping into in a Saturday, you might even get a glass of wine it's there's an opening that day!

Fantastic gallery & knowledgeable, helpful owners. It's been a pleasure to purchase from this gallery. You can get as much guidance and advice as you need, without feeling pressured. My partner and I have bought two pieces from the gallery, and look forward to returning again when we're in Victoria.

This has to be, in my opinion, the best art gallery in Victoria, where we have a lot of really good galleries. The showcased works and artists are changed every couple of weeks or so and they are always superlative displays. Not a stuffy-attitude place, great works paired with a some whimsical. Always tasteful interesting and sure to make you stop and browse.You can enter from the front on View Street or from the back on Trounce Alley - another Victoria Landmark.

The staff are welcoming and friendly, the gallery itself is beautifully curated, and not once did I feel out of place (being in the plainest of plain clothes as I was). There's no pressure of any sort, just gorgeous and unique artwork. I was lucky enough to visit the day after an exhibit for Morgana Wallace opened, and was doubly lucky to get one of her pieces for myself! I'd you have the time definitely stop in to see the collections, and if Morgana has an exhibit... free up some time and go for sure!

A very beautiful gallery space and welcoming staff. Love the Cape Dorset prints and the contemporary West Coast art they represent. Definitely one of the galleries to see while in Victoria.
