Chilliwack Dog Training

We have been going to Chilliwack Dog Trainer’s sense over two years ago, we did our board and train with them and our a girl Penny absolutely adores the trainers here, they’re so good with her and she has worked through extreme people nervousness and some dog reactivity but when she’s there she has none of those problems. They treat her so well and she honestly starts yelping with excitement when we pull onto the property she absolutely loves being there. She might even love them as much as us due to the strong bond she built with them during her 4-week board and train. We just left her this past long weekend for Labour Day weekend for three nights and she absolutely had the best time. We will use Chilliwack dog trainers for all our boarding, daycare and training needs! They support the owner's training also. Great place to be able to leave your beloved dog and have peace of mind that they are safe and having a blast. Thanks again Jill, Connie and the rest of the team!

We have been using Jill and her team for over 8years now and cannot be happier with the service they provide. We first brought our staffy/boxer rescue dog to her, who had very high anxiety, reactive and had not been socialized much . She made us totally feel at ease where we worked one on one in a social setting and slowly brought his confidence and ours up,to a point where he could go on long walks and be in and around family and friends in a calm relaxed state. There was no question about who we would bring our 2 boston terrier pups to after we lost our dog a couple of years ago. We have since completed puppy training with our 1st little guy and she has worked with our other shy, timid one on one to bring his confidence up and his brothers down lol. We have implemented their training techniques in our home with ease and we can't recommend them enough for their patience, expertise and guidance. Our pups looked forward to going to class and we loved the safe, friendly environment. We look forward to many years of learning and training with our dogs, Jill and her team.

Our dog Benny loves this daycare! He is so excited every time I even mention the word daycare now. I was so nervous the first time dropping Benny off but the owner and staff are fantastic and care so much about Benny. He sleeps the night away from all the fun he has at daycare with his dog friends. It's wonderful to have a place to bring him and I know he is in loving hands.

We needed help training our friendly, exuberant but sometimes bad-mannered pup, Roxy, who was about 15 months at the time of our first consultation. We completed 8 private lessons with Jill and Connie last month and couldn’t have been more pleased with the results.The lessons started with learning how to improve engaging in play with our dog and moved on to door manners, leash walking and later recall training. Jill and Connie were knowledgeable and very encouraging. We started seeing improvements even after the first couple of lessons. We also noticed that Roxy was becoming more affectionate and trying to engage in play with us as the lessons progressed.Roxy’s manners have improved, and leash walking has become far more enjoyable for all of us. We continue to work with her and see progress, utilizing all the great tools and tips Jill provided us. Thanks Chilliwack Dog Training!

I love that this is a smaller daycare and that's its owned and operated by a certified, professional dog trainers. They really get to know the dogs they train and care for.They have indoor and outdoor space to allow dogs space to walk or play no matter what the weather is or the dog's specific needs.So my little one can go for walks, sit in a field and people watch.My big red boy can run and play with his furr-iends.With help from the trainers, they have both have become more confident dogs over the past year.Photos courtesy of Chilliwack Dog Trainingm

I took the weekly Private Basic 101 classes with Colleen and Jill - I can't thank them enough for their positive, high-quality, and practical lessons.Their thoughtful approach made it a fantastic experience for my dog and me. As the owner of a highly anxious dog, I was impressed with the behaviours they could pick up on and provide immediate feedback; this was so helpful for me to understand my dog better so that I can help her before she starts to become anxious and shut down. Most importantly, over the 1.5 months, our dog became more confident and began to teach herself better coping mechanisms.As anyone with an anxious dog knows, changing the behaviour takes time. They did a great job making sure I fully understood the logic behind the training and made me feel comfortable bringing up specific issues about my dog.They guided me on normal/expected behaviour, suggested immediate changes and were able to help me with longer-term management plans.Thank you so much; I would 100% use the training service again.
