During the recent snow and ice storm, my blue spruce tree was overloaded and a couple of large branches broke. As my backyard view looks right out at this tree, I was looking for someone who would trim with the idea of keeping the tree looking as nice as possible. Evergreen Tree Care was recommended by my neighbours who had used their services. I am pleased to say that I was satisfied with the job done by Evergreen from start to finish. Ryan was very responsive - contacting me quickly to set up an appointment for a viewing, providing me with a timely, descriptive quote after we met and setting up an appointment for the work to be done. When doing the trim, he considered my concerns about how the trim wasgoing to affect the look of the tree and took his time determining how to minimize the effects of the damage. I am pleased with the tree care, the cost (which I thought was extremely reasonable) and also the excellent customer service.

I have had Mike and team come by for a couple of different jobs now and I am very, very impressed. He is communicative, reasonable, friendly and the work is done efficiently and on budget. We will not hesitate to use Evergreen again!

After meeting with Sean and discussing the two trees that required pruning, a fair and clear estimate for the work was submitted within 24 hours. Sean and his crew arrived on the day agreed upon and began removing the deadwood and large, low-hanging limbs of the two, old trees involved. Everyone on the team was extremely professional, polite and helpful. They were efficient in getting the work done and took care in the final cleanup. I highly recommend Evergreen Tree Care.

I cannot rave enough about Ryan and his team! We had a huge tree fall in our backyard damaging our property and 2 of our neighbour's properties. Received 3 quotes and Evergreens was the most economical and also the one that would accommodate next day service. They came, completed the work in a few hours and left the property cleaner and tidier than before the tree fell. If we ever need any future tree services will definitely call them again and will refer them to anyone seeking this type of service.

Ryan Spafford’s middle name might well be “efficient”, but that superlative alone would not do him justice to capture the entire package that Evergreen Tree Care delivers when performing their arborist duties.As we requested, Ryan and his two partners arrived at our Toronto residence on a mild January morning, contracted to remove 2 tall aging blue spruce trees from the front of our property. Though the trunks were well under the diameter required by city bylaws to require a permit, they were still about 30’ or 40’ in height, and in danger of falling over with the next storm. Using specialized climbing equipment including ropes, pulleys, tree crampons and chain saws, the trees were quickly and safely limbed and felled by the 3-man team. In all, the job took only about an hour to cut down the trees to ground level, grind all the wood to mulch, completely sweep up the area, and remove all debris. Ryan and his team will return in the spring to grind out the roots after he contacts the city to map out all underground gas and water lines.After reviewing 4 competing quotations for this project, we chose Ryan at Evergreen Tree Care because they ‘ticked the all of the boxes’ including timeless, appropriate insurance coverage, comprehensive terms and conditions, attention to detail, and value for money.We have lived in our old Toronto home for over 40 years. I recently had Evergreen tree care" plant a river birch tree in my backyard. It was a challenging job. I have a very narrow pathway to the back

We just used Evergreen to add a tree to our back yard. We inquired about a tree in our back yard for shade thanks to Metrolinx removal of trees behind our home - we were thrilled with the service! Called on Friday, they came monday! Mike at Evergreen recommended what type of tree to plant for our needs (ended up with a tulip tree - who knew that’s what we needed but I love it!) and gave us thorough care instructions.He also assessed another older/damaged tree’s health on the property and didn’t advise pruning or removal - I feel like someone else may have said ‘ya, get rid of it, we can do it and it will cost $xxxthe crew was efficient, clean, friendly and professional - I’ll definitely call again!

I was struggling to find someone willing to do a relatively small tree trimming job, but Evergreen stepped up. Ryan dropped by soon after I requested a quote and provided an accurate and reasonable quote. The team arrived when they said they would, did what they said they would, and left the yard as clean as they found it. I plan on using them again.

I would have to strongly disagree with other posted positive reviews for this company. Today, I witnessed workers for this company carry out the removal of multiple mature and healthy maple trees in the Beaches despite the protests and pleas of neighbours whose properties were adjacent to these beautiful trees. The workers for this company, including the foreman who was on site, refused to suspend their activity even in the face of evidence that these trees were healthy, and have now caused irreparable harm and the loss of a tree canopy that cannot be recovered. It seems that this has nothing to do with tree care, and everything to do with profit.
