Thundering Waters Golf Club
I absolutely loved this course. It was so much fun. Each hole is isolated and unique. Staff (and other golfers) couldn’t be friendlier. Although it was designed by Daly, the course was on the short and and narrow side, even from the black tees. Next time I will try the Daly tees.

Absolutely nothing was said to our group about it being cart path only on any of the holes and the marshal approach us very angrily and ignorantly. He engaged us like it was his 5th request.I would suggest he calms down instead of screaming at the very patrons that are giving your course revenue so he can collect a pay check, and maybe take an anger management class!! Moreover, the marshal ought to be reminded that a little good ole Canadian politeness can go a long way!!

Course was in excellent shape, played it twice in late season! Both times unfortunately we're a little wet and windy but a very fun and well crafted course! Bunkers could use a little bit of loving but tee boxes are good, fairways are nice and greens are nice and quick!Get to pass the halfway house" about 3-4 times on your round

Course is in rough shape. They have built a lot of houses and a condo building in the middle. The course itself needs tlc. Bunkers are growing weeds. Was cheap. But not an amazing course anymore.

I'm not an avid golfer but I've golfed for decades.Pros:Secluded holesChallengingPass the beer/refreshments stand 4-5 times over 18.Cons:Extremely unforgiving fescueDrainage is not optimalNo beer cart (however when beer stand is open that doesn't matter)Overall good

The good: fairways and greens are in excellent condition, and the starter and marshal were very friendly. The bad: like others have said, the bunkers are in bad shape, and so are some of the tee boxes. We played at 9am, and it wasn’t busy. But there wasn’t a blade of grass to be found on some of the tee placements. This would be a beautiful course if they filled in the bunkers with some nice white sand!

I’m going to say although I got a deal so it wasn’t that bad this course has definitely seen better days. The layout and playing of the course is fun and presents it’s own set of challenges. Part of that being the condition of the bunkers? If it is called that, it’s hard to tell if they are letting it grow in or just a lack of maintenance. If it’s the former they should just seed it so it can fill in evenly and for the latter well I guess that’s why there was a deal.I would go back at the same price I paid but just know where your expectations lie, at rack rate there are better options nearby.

Thundering Waters Golf Club
Tough course with many risk reward type holes. Unfortunately, the sand bunkers were in poor condition but the greens were well kept and holding. Overall, a positive experience but the pace of play could have been better. First round was 4:45 with groups in front and replay was done in 3:10 with no one around.
