French Cleaners Baken Park

To start off i have a cat and a dog that love sleeping on our bed. Well it was time to have our king size comforter cleaned to get the hair and pet dander off. Well I take it in because this place was recommended to me from a worker friend. They took my name and number and said they would call me when it was ready to pick up. Two weeks pass. No call.... I go in to check on it. They tell me it's done! Well it was in a bag and I can't just take out a king size comforter and check it. Get home and getting time for bed. Pull it out of the bag to find there is still pet hair on it! And that's not even remotely as bad as the large stains in the center of it like it sat in a damp washer over the weekend or something! Needless to say do not EVER use these people to clean your stuff. I made the mistake and I'm here to tell you so you don't do the same ...

So beyond disappointed. We took our new comforter (purchased within the last 6 months) there for a routine spring cleaning, as it was machine washable but too large for our washing machine. Got it back and just put it on our bed, only to find out it is all but useless. The padding is all bunched up in the corners and missing from the outer portions of the comforter. There is also a large tear in the corner. I can't believe that we paid $25 just to have our $200 comforter destroyed.

I dropped 3 fur coats off to be cleaned, one with matching ear muffs. I was told if there were any issues, they would call and I left my name and number. No phone calls. So, I went to pick them up. They tried to give me 2 of my costs and the third was somebody else's. When I pointed this out, she said oh..... Yes, you had the white coat. She brought it out to show me they had ruined it and offered to have me pay them to use another company to fix it! She said she would have called me or had me sign something. They apparently have employees that don't know how to do their jobs, poor communication and organization. They also forgot about the ear muffs... Had to ask for those as well. Horrible experience!

Not only did they perminantly ruin my North Face jacket, they said they would reimburse me ...it took them OVER A MONTH to mail the check. There was a lot of back and fourth waiting to talk to the manager and only being able to talk to employees that couldn't help us at all. Once they claimed they mailed the check, they sent it to THE WRONG ADDRESS...here I am six weeks later still waiting for my check. I wouldn't suggest anyone EVER taking clothes here for the simple fact of Extremly poor customer service and care.

First experience using this place. Came in on a Saturday morning, thinking I can get some stuff done as their website does not say anything about special schedules for weekends, and was told that Saturday is our only for drop-off and pick-up. All I was needing done was a suit coat pressed for my son and the lady (sorry I didnt catch her name) working behind the counter graciously helped me and pressed his suit coat even though she was not obligated to. That's the kind of service people come to enjoy and I would highly recommend this location because of the great experience we had.

The quality of work is fine. The problem is the price is too expensive! They told me that another cleaner in town was cheaper. It was almost as if the man working there was bragging that they're the second least expensive dry cleaner in town.

They are the best. I have been getting my jeans soaked and starched and I love the way they look and feel. The owner is awesome. Thank you all.

Services have gone down hill!!!! I took my red coat in. It looks worse. It has hard spots on sleeves. Frenchs used to tighten the buttons every year I would take it in...no more i guess.

Well priced for any type of clothing, do a great job of communicating if they need to wash a certain special kind of clothing. Friendly service, I will definitely be back and recommend them to any one in Rapid City.

I took a blanket to this store to be cleaned over a month ago, and it was ruined. The beading fell off, and it is not repairable. (I was NOT warned that this could possibly happen when I dropped it off and would not have had it cleaned if I knew that was a possibility.) I found out the blanket was ruined after paying for the service at the store and getting home. When I called, they were aware it happened, but no one mentioned this when I picked it up and was charged for the service. I was told to bring it back in so the owners could look at it, which I did right away the next morning (March 18, 2022). I have yet to be contacted by someone at the store. I have called each week to find out why no one has called and continue to get excuses or empty promises that someone will call me back. I still have not even received as much as an apology for what happened. I have also emailed twice in attempt to reach someone and received no reply. Waiting more than a month for a response for something like this is completely unreasonable. This review is to warn others that, in my experience, the store does not value their customers or their items.
