Victoria General Hospital

Daughter went for a post surgery infection and was treated like garbage by the triage nurse. Made to feel like she was faking it. Such a long wait. Seems like third world health care treatment is better.

Went for an evening ultrasound at 2115h and were in and out in less than 15 minutes, which was astounding. Polite, professional serv.

I wanted to take the time to leave a review after my stay here. My condition is not a common one- despite this, I felt very accommodated in the short time I spent here! While I can't remember everyone's name(there were quite a few!), I'd like to extend my deepest gratitude to all of the nurses, surgeons, and everyone else who cared for me yesterday; as I didn't have the chance to thank everyone before I left.Everyone there was very busy but still took the time to check on me regularly, bringing me medicine, checking my blood pressure, keeping an eye out for signs of infection, bleeding, etc. I hope everyone there knows they have truly made a difference in my life. Keep being great!

What's wrong with our health care now days!!!Brought a family member to the hospital here because of a serious medical problem and took a long time for them to triage him then 2 hrs later just to do bloodwork, then telling him right after doing his bloodwork that won't be much longer and they will get him into a room and the doctor would be in shortly after to assist him!!!2 1/2 hrs later and he still sitting in the waiting room!!!All they keep telling him is sorry but you'll just have to keep sitting there and wait!!!That's the only answer we can get from anyone there!!!Something needs to be done!!!This is totally ridiculous, nothing but a fuken joke!!!!

Thank you kindly to the Colonoscopy Department. The team was very kind and professional. No pain or discomfort. I forgot to bring something to read and I waited nearly 2 hours for my scheduled exam. Please bring something to read. Except for that, everything else was excellent! Thank you once again!

“Nurses and doctors r busy” they always say that. Long hours of waiting but actually theres no staffs at all to help with the patients need, they will just make us WAIT until doctors show up to work !. It’s ridiculous how I paid my tax for this. :(((

I would like to thank Dr. Laura Chan and all the staff in Admitting, Day surgery and recovery. Everyone was friendly, knowledgable and supportive during my stay. Thank you for your continued hard work in the Healthcare field during these stressful times.

Having recently gone to urgent care, as much as I didn't like the long wait, I did expect it.I understand the nurses and doctors are quite busy and have full respect for them.However, I do not appreciate the tone and words spoken to me by 1 nurse, I didn't catch her name.I was given instructions on what I should do if the medication prescribed did not work, from the nurse I had seen while I was at the hospital.However, the nurse on the phone had no patience and spoke rudely to me.Rather than politely apologizing for incorrect information given to me, or nicely explaining, I was told 'no, you're wrong', followed up by her hanging up the phone.I have never written a review about such experience, but this bothered me as I am in pain and rather than support, the nurse was just rude.I will not be going to Victoria Hospital going forward.

I had a positive experience when visiting for a colonoscopy last week. The admitting staff and all staff in the endoscopy ward were very warm and friendly. It was a comfortable and painless procedure and I felt well looked-after.My only issue is that the first IV insertion attempt was extremely painful and is still very sore and bruised almost a week later. The second attempt on the other side was more reasonable and has healed completely.
