Crystal and Sam were the hair and makeup stylists that provided services for our wedding in addition to a wedding hair and make up trial for me. They were awesome - professional, friendly, lovely to chat with, and incredibly talented at what they do. Tina and Jennifer, who my main correspondence was with were professional and prompt to reply, and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for hair and wedding makeup!

I booked Something Borrowed Beauty to do my mine and my bridesmaids hair and makeup on my Wedding day. Kelsey and Jen did an amazing job! They made sure everyone was comfortable along the way and took their time to ensure we were all happy with the final look. Highly recommend!

Jennifer did my make up for my wedding, along with the make up for my two bridesmaids. Not only was the end result absolutely flawless, but Jennifer was such a lovely person to chat with! My make up stayed in place all day, and it was easy to remove at the end of the day. Absolutely amazing service and would highly recommend!

I used Something Borrowed for my wedding, and I couldn't be happier with the service I received! I completed a trial a few months before the wedding and had some issues with dry skin, so Kelsey gave me some recommendations to follow leading up to wedding. Both at the trial and on my wedding day, Tamara did a wonderful job and made me feel so beautiful, but also like myself (I am not a daily makeup wearer). From the moment you guys arrived to when we had to rush Sam out the door as we were late for the Ceremony you guys were so accommodating and amazing. Kelsey and Joanne were fabulous the morning of our wedding. Everyone's hair and makeup looked perfect (and didn't melt despite the incredible heat that day!). Everyone looked like themselves but more beautiful. My mom in particular wasn't sure about getting her makeup done given she normally doesn't wear much - but when we discussed the next day she was so happy I convinced her to get it done and was so happy because she normally gets very flushed/red in the heat and yet she looked perfect all day long. Strong recommend!

Something Borrowed did an incredible job for my wedding! Everyone they styled looked absolutely gorgeous. Not only are they incredibly talented, they also made everyone feel at ease and comfortable during the process. They took everyone's interests into account and just elevated their natural beauty. They were super flexible as we had changes leading up to the week of the wedding, including coming up to do my rehearsal make up which was stunning! I felt like I was in great hands the entire time. Where do I begin? After finding positive online reviews and a recommendation from my wedding planner we booked Jennifer for our wedding. I had a request to do airbrush makeup for the big day. Jen response that she was able to help with this, great let’s book you in.All payments are to be made in advance (which I was fine with) however when the invoice was to be paid there was several issues. She had forgot to add travel fees (200) per artist and insisted on early starting fees (50) per artist. Which resulted in that I was given 2 different invoices that didn’t even added up to the first quote (also no official quote document was sent). My wedding planner was able to reduce this cost some but it was an unexpected cost. And just weeks front the wedding + I already paid initialInvoice I felt forced to move ahead.I booked a makeup trial with Jen about a week before the big day. She did not bring the airbrush equipment and when I asked she made excuse on excuse. I was left with on other choice then to do the trial with regular foundation. Jen did reach out the day after asking how I felt with the foundation and if she should bring the airbrush for the wedding day. However I did not feel confident to do so without the makeup trial.Since we had a 4:30 pm ceremony she insisted on 3 artist instead of the 2 that was requested by my very experienced wedding planner. 2 would have been fine.The day off. Makeup and hair was planned to arrive at 9 pm. We woke up at 8 pm by someone knocking on the door. The hair and makeup team was already here. Not asking if they could come in and start setting up, they more or less barged in. We had a planned to have breakfast that was to be delivered at 8:30 and then get ready for the girls to arrive. One of my bridesmaids questioned the time and got the answer that there’s a time change (there’s no time change from Calgary to Emerald lake).The morning went on and we had to stress all the other women that was getting ready to come over way earlier then scheduled. Myself and the bridesmaids were to be ready at 12pm (like the day off schedule stated they they had received). Anyhow, everyone was ready way earlier then requested (which I mean is good but as a result created a stressful start to what should be a amazing day. They all left at 1 pm but should have (according to schedule) stay until 4 pm. I had no chance to retouch my makeup after the first look and wedding photos, which had been promised. To add as well it was small showers of rain all day.Overall happy with the result of the hair and makeup but extremely disappointed with how Jen runs her business! If you can go with someone else I suggest you do!

I would give 10 stars if I could. Jen did my hair and makeup for a photoshoot that I did with my husband. I had a massive migraine that morning, and honestly did not feel beautiful or like I had the energy for the shoot. When I met Jen she was so relaxed, and so skilled. She was gentle while doing my hair and makeup (and she didn't even know I was in pain, thats just how she was!) She was professional, asked me several times if my makeup or hair was how I wanted, and even helped me decide how to do my hair since we were going to be on a mountain top in Banff and I wasn't sure about the wind. I had my makeup done at 1pm, and when I got home well past midnight there wasn't a single smudge of makeup or hair out of place. Jen is absolutely perfect, and an artist with her work. W will 100% see her again. I felt refreshed, pampered and truly beautiful because of her.
