Red Rock Canyon
The scenery and red rock is amazing and has some great views. It's quite a twisty and long road to get to the actual canyon but it has nice views along the way. The parking lot once there is not very big so gets full fast! Getting there early is key because it's filled with people. Has decent bathrooms there and a lot of various walking trails so it's something that's nice to see at least once!

Right upon arriving at Red Rock Canyon, I was pleasantly surprised to find wheelchair accessible bathrooms conveniently located near the entrance. While they were not flushable toilets, they were well-maintained outhouse-style bathrooms, providing a clean and accessible option for visitors. I was delighted to discover that the bathrooms were equipped with a diaper changing station, which is a thoughtful addition for families with young children.During my visit, the park was undergoing some maintenance or construction work, but it did not significantly hinder the overall experience. In fact, there were several sections of the canyon that were wheel-chair and stroller friendly, allowing everyone to enjoy the natural beauty of the surroundings. It's important to note that due to the ongoing construction, not all the trails were perfectly straight, which may require some extra attention while navigating.Red Rock Canyon is a true visual delight. The contrasting red and green hues create a stunning backdrop for any kind of photography, whether you're capturing family moments, couples, or the captivating nature itself. The canyon's vibrant colors make it a perfect spot for capturing memorable pictures. As you explore the park, you'll come across a variety of hiking trails suitable for all levels of fitness. From shorter 1-kilometer routes to more challenging treks spanning 15 kilometers or more, there's something for everyone.Overall, Red Rock Canyon is a must-visit destination for nature enthusiasts and photography enthusiasts alike. It’s a memorable experience for individuals, families, and friends seeking to connect with nature in a breathtaking setting. I highly recommend visiting Red Rock Canyon for an unforgettable outdoor adventure.Quick note: still lots of burned trees from the wildfire back in 2017

Wonderful visit to Red Rock Canyon. The canyon and a portion of the trail system was closed while we visited due to washout which is unfortunate. Take the time to complete the one kilometer hike to the waterfall.

One of the two drives into Waterton Lakes National Park. This one has mountain views all around. One might be able to see various wildlife. There are roadside pull offs, as well as picnic areas to enjoy along the route.

Beautiful place to hike, picnic and jog. The mountain stream is clear and helps you keep cool in the summer. Lots of wildflowers to see during June. The parking is right at the trail head so it's easy to get to.

The jewel of Waterton, and one the most scenic trail heads. The trails there are all beautifully worthwhile, too. Take it slow and take all the colours in. Submerge all your senses in this eternal play of lights, sounds, smells, earth, wind, and water intertwining. Let your spirit soar at every so often glance at the pointy tip of Anderson Peak ever-present in the backdrop. Shake yourself loose of all daily sorrows and woes, even if only for a fleeting moment.Don't forget to enjoy the road there. It is easily one of the most scenic drives in the world.[I took all the pics in this post, except the road pic. It is my auntie's as I was driving.]

Red Rock Canyon
A must-see when visiting Waterton Lakes National Park of Canada. It was nice to see lots of work being done surrounding the canyon for tourists. About 10-15min drive from the main road. There are plenty of parking and washrooms on-site. I wish we had more time to fit in a hike, but nonetheless, it was an amazing experience!

Red Rock Canyon
Amazing Canyon with red rocks truly unique. There are long and short trails from the parking spot. Speaking of parking lots there are two upper is small and lower is big but a bit of walk so good luck finding one on upper lot on a busy day few washrooms. Views of mountain and canyon is just breath taking. I have reviewed other spots in Waterton like prince of whales hotel etc check out my reviews and list of to do things in Waterton Park. Single day or discovery pass required to enter also follow for more.

The pinky-red rocks beautifully contrast the greenery around the canyon. Parks Canada has made it possible to climb down to the water and splash around in the river, offering a fun activity as well as a fun photo opportunity.Don't go during peak visiting hours! The parking lots are limited and overflowing on Holiday weekends. People are almost shoulder-to-shoulder in the canyon.Outhouse-style bathrooms are available and kept clean, but do not contain running water for washing your hands. As of July 2023, the area is still under construction after the wildfires, so access is limited to the canyon boardwalk.
