Kumon Math and Reading Centre of Calgary - Nolan Hill

when my now 7yr old joined kumon in March, she could not read at all ( not even 2 letter words). I remember sharing my concerns of how much of a late reader she was with mr Shah and he told me not to worry . less than 6months later, my daughter reads everything. thank you to Nolan hill kumon, I'm very happy with my kids improvement in maths and reading

This is my first review on google. My Son has improved in his Maths and English since he started coming to the Nolan Hill Kumon centre. I’m really impressed and amazed at how fast he is able to read and the level of his mental maths now. He follows instructions with little or no supervision when working on his homework.The staff and the owner at this centre are very supportive and they work well with the kids to achieve their best results.I recommend this centre to anyone looking at improving kids learning skills.

That's my first review on Google, and I just wanted to let you guys know that I was quite skeptical when my son started the program, but slowly I started to see change in my kids approach towards his homework. As the things were improving, we have to travel outside of Canada due to some family situation and we took a break, but now my kid will start again along with his younger brother. As a parent, I m very satisfied, progress do comes but slowly so hang tight parents. Thank you very much Kumon team for your services and I highly recommend them.

My daughter started Kumon a year ago when she was 8 and now within a year I see very good progress and confidence in both her Math and English. I am very happy that the instructors are guiding her well and am extremely satisfied with her improvement.

I am so pleased with the level of learning that my children have been exposed to through Kumon . My daughter and my son were enrolled in Kumon Math for more than one year, which was extremely beneficial for them. they are recently accepted to a special private school which is incredibly hard to get into to. Children are expected to score in the 90th percentile in math to be considered and my kids scored 95 and 100. Thanks to Kumon Nolan Hill. Thanks to the program.Khadim Shah and the rest of the staff at Nolan Hill Kumon truly care about the students and ensure they advance to each new level with full knowledge and confidence. I would absolutely recommend Kumon Nolan Hill to parents who are looking for something to turbo boost their children's academic ability in both Math and Reading. My husband and I agree enrolling our children in Kumon so early on was the best decision we could have made for their future. 5 STARS ALL THE WAY!

This place is very professional. I sent my two boys and the amount of care and effort is amazing. Both teachers at school gave me good remarks on their standard in Math, so I totally recommend

Entering into gr 2 after pandemic interruptions starting halfway through kindergarten, my daughter was approx one year behind with her literacy, specifically reading. She still needed help with your letter sounds and was reading at about a school level D. We put my daughter in the Nolan Hill location, we are going into month 11 and she's now reading entry level chapter books. It's been a challenging year as she has school homework and kumon every night but the additional Kumon support really did get her back to grade level. She's reading and has confidence. Before she would compare herself to other kids who were strong readers and say she can't read. Now she'll read signs when we are driving, it's a completely different child. We are giving her the summer off as it's been a lot of hard work to get caught up, but we will be considering Kumon come Gr 3 for math. We are happy with the outcome and would recommend should your child need additional support in reading. It is an extra expense but I looked at tutoring and Kumon was a much better option, materials were provided and 2x in person a week, even during COVID which is exactly what my daughter needed, she does not engage online. In person learning is what sealed the deal for us.We would choose this location again.

My son has improved a lot in his mental maths and reading skills ever since joining this centre. Mr .Shah puts in great efforts to support his students and keeps them motivated. Best thing I like is that, he always keeps me posted on my son’s progress. They recently held an award ceremony to recognize the hard work of all students and it really made the kids feel special! Thank you and keep up the great work!

Best investment on the kid. Her reading and math drastically improved in a short time. Great teachers and good structure in Nolan Hill Kumon Centre - everyone is pretty involved and invested on the child. It supplements the school curriculum, which takes away a lot of the anxiety and stress. It also ushers structured support for learning and growth in addition to building good study habits and self-confidence. I highly recommend this center.

This review is coming from a student's perspective. I cried and nearly sobbed here. Whenever I asked for help, I would have to wait for at least 5-10 minutes since the instructor would be busy handling other kids, dealing with parents, or just busying himself without being attentive to the students. And if I asked for help from the teenage instructors at the front, he would shoo me away from them to do it himself. The times when he did help, it couldn't even be considered assistance. He literally just told me the answer, so of course when I asked him how he got it, he just told me, You think about it mentally. I thought about it in my head." Now how was I supposed to learn when the teachers there don't even explain it properly? Because of this
