Went in for help with my tattoo. Asked for a clear bandage (second skin) to put over my tattoo that I got at a different tattoo shop. I was worried that it would not heal properly.2 ladies working at the front reception were extremely unhelpful. Shrugged me off even after I offered to purchase a protector from them.I will never use this place or recommend it to anybody in the future just because of this. How hard would it have been to just help?I was just seeking help from a professional. And was offering to pay for it LOLThanks!!! Hopefully the front staff can be trained to offer better customer service

My whole experience at HK was phenomenal. The front desk staff were always lovely and accommodating, everyone in the shop was friendly, and my artist was over the top amazing.I contacted Dana after looking at her IG because I wanted a flower bouquet for my family, and she had amazing flowers. My in person consultation with her went so well, she asked all the right questions and when I wasn't sure how a certain element would matter or affect the tattoo she took the time to explain everything to me so I could make the best decision for me.She was able to book me in super quick and explained the tattooing process to me in great detail. This was my second tattoo, first with colour, and my first tattoo was just under 10 years ago, so I had forgotten most of the process. She sent me my design a couple of days ahead of time, and when I asked to make a couple of changes, she was fantastic about it.When I came in for my first session, Dana was so accommodating and made sure everything was the way that I wanted it to look. She always made sure I was comfortable and did the best she could to minimize anything uncomfortable. I mean, it's a tattoo, so of course it's going to hurt, but Dana went above and beyond to make sure it was as comfortable as it possibly could be.When I had questions about my aftercare, she got back to me right away and was so thoughtful.After my second session, I was blown away by how realistic my tattoo looked and how much detail there was. The design on my skin looked even better than on paper. Everyone who sees it gives me nothing but compliments. One of my friends who has a lot of tattoos said it was the best colour work she had ever seen ❤️To top it off, Dana is just a wonderful human, and we pretty much talked the whole time I was getting tattooed, which ended up being 6 hours over 2 sessions.I will be back for my next tattoo in a few months' time. Thank you for the beautiful piece of art that means so incredibly much to me. Can't wait to come in for my next piece.

I had a double-rook piercing done by Tiff at this location and it was an absolutely wonderful experience all around. The piercings healed great and am completely satisfied with them. I would highly recommend booking a piercing with her as she shows a high level of knowledge and a strong passion for piercings.

I got piercings done by Kaine, the senior apprentice, and they did an awesome job! Super kind, knowledgeable, and have a great attention to detail. I’d definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a good piercer in Airdrie :)

I had an appointment booked with this shop as I had followed an artist there. When that artist no longer worked there the shop kept the appointment and did not offer any communication, they just sent reminder emails that I later noticed were missing the artists name. The artist and I sorted out the new location separately and I was able to get my tattoo completed.The practice of keeping an appointment and not communicating changes appears shady to me. Myself, along with I assume many others, follow the artist and not the shop, and as a result of this it looks to me like an attempt to steal clients. I am very much the type of person who is loyal to the service provider, not the place of work (I.e. left a hair salon to follow a stylist after they were wrongfully terminated, etc.). So it comes off wrong to me when a shop sees clients as “theirs” and not the artists. The artist also supposedly lost personal property to the shop which is also a cause for concern.Previously I had no issues with this shop, but after seeing and hearing how they handle such situations makes me hesitant to come to them for future services if ever needed.

Human Kanvas will forever be my go-to piercing place. I rarely frequent the Airdrie location, as Sunridge is closer to me, but I needed some 6 mm gold hoops to size down a couple low helix piercings. The HK Airdrie team was prompt in replying to my queries and got me in same day!It was my first time meeting Syd but they were amazing!! So gentle and kind - they made me feel comfortable and at ease. The process was pain-free to have my jewelry changed because of Syd’s patient and gentle touch. I highly recommend checking them out if you need a jewelry change/upgrade. They were so knowledgeable and confidently helped me select what I needed.5/5 stars - I would definitely come back to this location and would happily have Syd pierce me once they level up!! Thank you for making my earring dreams come true!!!!

Dana was absolutely amazing. I've been tattooed before but she was by far the best artist in terms of professionalism and skill.I can't wait to go back.

I've been getting tattooed (mostly by Jay S) here for years and just recently started getting piercings (all by Tiff B). Everytime I've gone in, it has been an amazing experience. Everyone is extremely good and well trained at there jobs and I love all the work I've gotten done!

I had my nose and ear pierced by Kaine, and was so pleased with the experience. Kaine provides a super chill vibe, and their professionalism is top notch. It was my first piercing, so I was a little nervous, but Kaine made me feel super safe, explained everything, and made the whole process a dream. A++++++

I initially selected Human Kanvas for my first tattoo. It's a memorial piece for my grandparents, so I wanted to make sure it was done in a meaningful way. Danica, who is no longer there, knocked it out of the park. I get compliments all the time on it. Everyone from the time I checked in at reception to completion was so kind and I knew this wasn't going to be my last time coming in.Flash forward a bit, I came in on a whim one day to get my daith done. I get wicked migraines so I hoped it would help. I met Kaine on this trip and he was absolutely amazing. Walked me through what was happening and seriously I felt almost nothing. Not only was the actual piercing experience phenomenal, but any time I have had a question no matter how dumb it seems he's there for me. I have come in and seen him for follow up as I did have some healing issues (it's a tough spot!!). A few weeks later I got my second lobe done by Kaine as well. It's healed beautifully. I seriously may never let another person pierce me.Everyone in the shop is amazing that I have interacted with so far. I will continue to come in for any future piercings, tattoos, and of course more beautiful Junipurr pieces.
