The Castle Childcare Centre

The Castle is an amazing daycare. Great teachers, caring staff, and amazing management. It’s a lovely place for kids to grow and learn. I recommend it.

They do not respect teachers and when teachers point out health and safety concerns regarding kids they fire them. Look at their track record of how much time each teacher spent there. Worst place to send your kids to when they are in their most important growing and learning period.

My child has attended The Castle for 2 years and absolutely adores it and the staff. This review is long overdue but prompted by the malicious public attack of unwarranted 1 star reviews in the last week. Approximately 30 families attend the Castle so it is a small group of people to know.Out of the 10 one star reviews, 9 were from last week and NONE of them were from a parent of an enrolled student… heck, one is from John Doe?!What is troubling (besides the flagrantly falsified poor reviews) is the cowardly attack on a local small business that relies greatly on honest reviews and word of mouth.The most despicable review from Patricia Laforteza (which I have reported to Google) makes an inaccurate and ignorant claim about the management’s nationality and native tongue.I hope that these invalid poor reviews will be removed as it doesn’t reflect the true environment that one would encounter at the Castle.

We were one of the first families to sign up in Sept 2020. We were always so happy up until a couple of months ago. I’m writing this review to provide insight on my experience and for others to know that there are families who had concerns. I do really hope the management can make changes to improve because it really was such a great place before all of this.One of our main concerns was the staff turnover. Since November of this school year, out of a total of 4 classrooms, there are 3 lead teachers who are no longer there (morning program, toddler lead teacher and downstairs preschool). They were all wonderful teachers who truly cared about the kids. They gave full updates at pick up, not the standard “they had a great day” because they genuinely cared. Teachers are the ones spending all of the time with our kids so I believe that it is important that they are working in a respectful, happy and professional environment.When it came down to it, we left because we lost trust in the management. In our 3 years here, I never complained but when more recently I had concerns, I was never heard. I was given very defensive responses and there was never any accountability. On one occasion when I went to the owner with an issue, the supervisor sent my son home the next day with a “high fever” to which he never had.It was disappointing that even when it got to the point that I let them know we were leaving they didn’t seem to care.I am not the one to write bad reviews, especially for a small business and this is not about a 1 star rating. This side of the story needed to be told so that hopefully there can be improvements made and it can go back to the happy place it once was.

My daughter has attended The Castle for over two years in both the toddler and preschool rooms. The staff are absolutely fantastic and the programming is top notch. Whether it's yoga, nature walks, science experiments, or arts and crafts; it's great to know that my child is in an environment that allows her to learn and grow. We had several other daycare experiences with our older son and none compared to The Castle.

The most amazing childcare center in Toronto!!! Best curriculum you can find... So happy and pleased with their services.

Our son has been attending The Castle Childcare Centre since September 2021 and we cannot say enough good things about it! The staff is incredibly caring and attentive. They work really hard to design a program that is fun, educational and age-appropriate. The communication is wonderful; they provide updates throughout the day using the HiMama app for his food intake, nap length and diaper/potty tracking as well as photos and videos. When we began daytime potty training earlier this month, they continued to work with and encourage him and don’t require that he is trained for naps. Our son is so excited to attend daycare every day and is in the best mood when we pick him up. They are also competitively priced and their open weekday hours of 7:30 am - 5:30 pm are perfect for our schedule. We highly recommend The Castle Childcare Centre!

Our son has attended The Castle for almost 2 years now. Not only has he learned so much, but he has developed some amazing friendships as well. The teachers are so kind and attentive to the children and very responsive and informative to the parents. The curriculum is fantastic and encourages intellectual growth and the extracurriculars during the holidays are so much fun. Our son is so happy there and we are excited to send his younger siblings there when they’re old enough!

Teachers are kind and attentive! Great educational, activities programs, and incredibly clean; Intimate and personal to feel like family is taking care of your son/daughter.
